Phil and Gloria have been so over-the-top ridiculous that it no longer resonates as humor.
Cam and Mitchell are the only consistently funny characters on the show.

Now all the characters just seem so pretentious. Almost like caricatures of themselves. Just can't watch it anymore.
Happens to even the best of sitcoms, with few exceptions (Seinfeld held it together fairly well).
First 4 or 5 seasons of MF were legit, though. I think they nuked the fridge around the time of the gay wedding or shortly after. And, frankly, once the boys got into that awkward teenage phase, it was done for my purposes.

I stopped watching years ago. It was good when the kids were kids. My favorite interactions were between Phil and Luke, and it was hilarious how Phil couldn't hide his lust for Gloria, even in front of his wife.
It really went downhill once the Vietnamese kid started talking and the two boys grew up.

The show needs to be put to rest. I've been watching a few new episodes here and there and they are repeating the same jokes and scenarios over and over. Everything is stale. I think 4-5 seasons is the max for your family sitcom. Especially if none of the characters grow and develop.

I’ve only seen the first 4-5 seasons then just kind of stopped watching naturally (got busy and never picked it back up) and I have never laughed as hard as I laughed at Phil in those first several seasons. Something about the goofy suburban dad he nails perfectly just hits me right in the funny bone.

First two seasons were great.
First episode of the third season the wife and I vowed to never watch it again.

Started out strong. Until maybe season 2 or 3. Got real bad real fast after that.

Great show when it started. Now, except for Phil, it is too "smartly" written to ever be realistic and all the players are way over the top. It is very meh

We're still watching but are totally glad it's the last season. Episodes with Cam's sister Pam make me want to throw the remote at the TV. Same with Lilly. Just awful. And don't get me started on Manny...
