I'm sorry for your loss, HC. For your sake, I am glad she finally passed. I'm with you on the euthanasia thing. No one should be forced to watch a loved one suffer like that.
You are in my prayers.
You are in my prayers.

My mother died 25 years ago this month from cancer, and I think about her every day. Was by her side the last 4 days or so while her breathing got shallower and shallower. It's unfortunate, and I'm sorry for your loss.

Condolences to you, and your family. I listened to my dad's last breaths, and it is burned into my memories. So much work to just grab enough air to try for another breath. It is heartbreaking, but I could not imagine losing both so close together.

I know you are within the grips of struggle. Not much will bring comfort. However, allow me to offer this. Your parents loved you beyond what words can describe. And they want nothing but the best life possible for you. The best thing you can do for them is to live your life so that it brings honor to their legacy and celebrates the sacrifices they made for you.
One suggestion that may help you going forward is to remember their favorite task and carry that forward. One thing that has helped me since my mother passed is to cook her favorite meals. She loved cooking for her friends and family. So when I cook a gumbo or crawfish bisque, I feel I am doing so with a nod to heaven. It doesn't exactly fill the void of her absence, but it does acknowledge her work in my life. Blessings to you in this hour. Even though there is hardship in the night, joy comes in the morning.

Yep Cancer sucks - My dad passed 28 days after diagnosis, he went from working to a bed quick.
We had a hospital bed at my parents home for him and all sat around waiting, it was 10 years ago and still affects me today.
Prayers to your family

fricking hate cancer, have lost both parents to it in less than four months.
So sorry for your loss. My mother died of breast cancer and I think chemo treatments are primitive.
There's got to be a better way.
