Whenever you are returning a lot of starters, including a starting quarterback like Burrow, I think the optimism has more substance than in previous years. Another contrast is that in previous years, we had underperformers (or poor performers) but the word coming from practice was "this time it will be different!" This year, we have a lot of players who started to click and hit their stride last year. Now, they have a season under their collective belts, so there's good reason to think they'll be even better.

Clemson didn't throttle them because of line play. The beat the shite out of them because of QB play.

If this works everything needs to be left the hell alone. Don’t mess with a good combination just because you don’t like ensminger

I’m pretty excited.

I believe The offense will be different.

Say what you will about Canada, the offense was at least different in form.

And we hired someone who has experience in the type of offense E says he wants to run.

If this works we may have to.

Hot young offensive minds aren’t WR coaches for long

You do what you have to do when you have to do it but you don’t demote ensminger just because of this Ensminger/Brady duo works. I don’t see Ensminger coaching very much longer before he retires anyway.

I think We say shitnlike this all the time, but I do think this is a hire we made looking to promote groom
Him to take over as OC.

He’s young enough to agree to this, and has never even called plays.

But if we explode on offense our hand might be forced

It’s actually warranted this year. They look real good.

Part of being a fan is eternal optimism. Every year I expect big things and cannot wait for August.

If I'm disappointed, I can deal with it then

There’s some short memories on this board.

One year ago it was panic mode b/c our best passer was as light as a kite, we lost our top RBs and we’re just hoping Brossette could step up, and hoping the freshmen WRs could replace the two departed seniors. There was no spring hype for the offense last spring.

I’m gonna fall for it this year too! Law of averages says this is the year.

I burned my Air Canada shirt. What’s this year’s slogan??

This same article has been posted almost every year going back to Jarrett Lee in 2008.

Pencil me in as “highly skeptical”.

We actually return Sullivan, Anderson and Jefferson.

And added two high rated Freshmen.

Then got a transfer QB.

We were told all off season WR was our strength.
