This is a scary time for any AD to look at hiring a new basketball coach. The FBI tampering/bribery trial won’t be in the books until after the coaching searches are done..

Here’s our new coach!! Yay, he’s great!

A few months later, I’m sorry to tell you but we have to let you go..

That is why I would shocked if Texas fires Shaka Smart

The NCAA just bitches Alleva so hard it’s not even funny. I understand he may have some ptsd after the duke lacrosse scandal but Jesus. Stand up for your hire, wade specifically said to not judge him until the facts are all on the table. For all we know Wade may have been working with the febs for quite some time after getting caught on a wire dealing with these middle men at Vcu. This cases scope is huge and LSU isn’t the only team facing trouble , duke , Kansas, and plenty of other schools will go down as well.

If not I’m gonna burn this whole goddamn city to the ground. I’m obviously kidding , life will go on. We may be relevant in 2027 or some shite.

LSU BASKETBALL had a great coach in Will Wade, finally would have a PROGRAM, and finally got some bandwagon fans (like me). Many LSU fans and alums like myself don't like the sport of basketball a whole lot, BUT a great program trumps that. If they bring in a sorry a*s coach or even a mediocre one, LSU BASKETBALL will be back to the joke it had become under Johnson and Jones.

Why? The last hire was pretty good, except for the lack of vetting regarding said hiree's ability to stay under the radar when bending or breaking rules.

The last hire was done by someone who's no longer here. It'll be an "integrity" non-recruiter hire, so picture Trent Johnson, except a sitting P5 coach won't be interested in our shitshow.

Word through the grapevine is that LSU has struck a deal with the NCAA. They will not open an investigation into LSU basketball, and we will not face any sanctions... Unfortunately you know what that would cost us in exchange (Firing Wade).

So when the sports media loses their shite over us not getting the death penalty, what punishment will Pussy Joe voluntarily offer up?

I’ve been thinking about this since I don’t think LSU should wait for Will Wade.

Steve Prohm, Iowa St...He’s 44, a Georgia native & ‘Bama grad who has 3 stops in LA on his resume. He started as a volunteer asst to Billy Kennedy at Centenary. He followed Kennedy to SLU & also had a stint at Tulane. He rejoined Kennedy at Murray State & got the HC gig in 2011 after Kennedy left for Texas A&M. Prohm’s success at MSU got him to Iowa State in 2015 where he has won the Big 12 tourney 2x (2017, 2019) & a Sweet 16 finish (2016). They are a #6 seed in the NCAAs (3rd berth in his 4 years). He has had to depend on transfers at ISU. Maybe that’s just been a short term issue, but LSU & LA would provide a stable recruiting base.

Richard Pitino, Minnesota...He’s 36 and coached all over as an asst most notably with Billy Donovan at Florida & under his pops at Louisville. He led a big turn around in 2013 in his only year at Florida International, his 1st HC gig, before Minnesota called. At UM he won a school record 25 games and a NIT ‘ship in 2014. He was Big 10 COY in 2017 w/ a 4th place finish. He has the Gophers back in the NCAAs this year. Can you win consistently at UM? He has one winning conference record in 6 years there (111-91 overall). He could do more at LSU.

Steve Wojciehowski, Marquette...He’s 42 and a former Duke pg & asst when Alleva was AD. Maybe that’s a negative (his handling of Duke LAX/rape case) He’s been 97-67 (43-47 in Big East) at MU in 5 years, his 1st HC job. This will be his 2nd NCAA & MU has a 2-1 NIT record with Wojo. He hasn’t coached in the Deep South though.

What is there about LSU and the Athletic Admin. that makes them attractive to a brilliant young coach after Wade, such as Prohm?

It’ll be Benford.
That would be insanity and a disaster for the program. (But perfectly fitting with the FKA-JA-J"JC"W-JBE insanity plan and agenda)

Benford never had a winning season at North Texas.

2-16 in CUSA his last season.

Read this story. He's not LSU HC material.....

I feel so horrible for Wade right now.

How does Alleva live with himself? His statement about fans only care about winning truly disgusts me. Wade doesn't deserve this. He should have the benefit of doubt right now and they should have stood behind him until the trial and after the season was over.

No reason for LSU to even be in this position right now.

I am so very sick of Alleva.
