For those bored and looking for something to watch this evening here’s a couple great BBC documentaries to watch. All hosted by Jim Al-Khalili who is a theoretical physicist that does a great job writing books and hosting documentaries on topics on physics. He’s really good at taking very complex topics and making them accessible for the rest of us without getting all artsy farts spirtual hippyness that I feel like Brian Cox (whom I also enjoy watching his documentaries don’t get me wrong) has a tendency to do.

Order and Disorder

Episode 1: Order
Episode 2: Information

The Beginning and End of the Universe

Episode 1: The Beginning
Episode 2: The End (Not the best video, I’ll try to find better quality)

The Secrets of Quantum Physics

Episode 1: Einstein 's Nightmare
Let There Be Life

Light and Dark

Episode 1: Light
LINK

Everything and Nothing

Episode 1: Everything
Episode 2: Nothing

Shock and Awe

All three episodes combined into one 3 hour documentary

Chemistry: A Volatile History

Episode 1
Episode 2
Episode 3

The Secret Life of Chaos

Single Episode

Atom

Episode 1: Clash of the Titans
Episode 2: The Key to the Cosmos
Episode 3: The Illusion of Reality

Science and Islam

Episode 1: The Language of Scidnce
Episode 2: The Empire of Reason
Episode 3: The Power of Doubt

Most are YouTube, some are on this site called DailMotion. I’m trying to see if I can find them all on YouTube because it tends to work better. For those interest you can mirror or Chrimecast them to your tv if you want. They’re all really interesting and have BBC quality and full of interesting info.

Enjoy

Seriously though they’re really good documentaries that lay out the history of how we discovered different things and he lays them out in really easy to understand but still informative ways. And being BBC documentaries they aren’t full of electric guitars and mindless fluff things to dumb them down, they’re all quality made.

Even if you think you might not understand them or be interested I encourage you to pick one and give it a shot, I think you might be pleasantly surprised.

I wonder who downvoted and why, I put some work into the OP to do the OT and good service and recommend y’all some great documentaries to watch.

Anyways like I mentioned above I prefer Jim Al-Khalili over Brian Cox because Cox tends to focus on going on and on about how beautiful and mysterious things are etc vs Jim's style of skipping the flourishes like that and focusing on the history of the development of the concepts and explaining it in layman’s terms. I’ll try to find some of Cox's documentaries and post those as well because he’s still and smart guy and the documentaries are still very enjoyable and informative to watch,

He did an interview with Joe Rogan but I haven’t had a chance to watch yet, here is the link for those interested:

Do you believe in Karma?

Every time we reflect on what happened to LucasP, it’s annoying as hell.
