There is no way in hell that I would have gone to that meeting with Aleva based on his past handling of the Duke lacrosse case. No way in hell. He can fire me. My guess is that if he does fire Wade LSU will end up owing Wade a lot of money from the contract. It wouldn’t go to court. It would be settled. It’s how this stuff works out 90% of the time.

IF Wade goes down, and I'm not suggesting he will, the pressure will be so high on Aleva to hire a huge name coach [Steve Alford level] to keep the players here and re-kindle the present magic that none of the subsequent items you listed will become a reality.
Waters and Reid are NOT NBA ready.
This is a very tight group of players and I believe they will stay together before they decide to blow up that bond.

For what any of us know currently, Will Wade isn't guilty of anything. I realize you have made some assumptions based on what you've heard, but that's not how things work when trials and lawyers are involved. Will Wade and many other coaches have been subpoenaed to testify in a trial for another person's(Dawkins) misdeeds.
Unfortunately, someone(John Calapari or Rick Barnes) leaked Wade's portion to the media 3 days before LSU sews up the conference championship.
All LSU had to do was say this is a legal issue that will get it's day in court. Wade, upon the advice of his lawyers, has made the correct responses. "I look forward to being able to clear all this up in court"

If you want to win, you have to play the game.
If Wade does not survive, I hope the next guy does everything else every other major program does. That is how you compete. This isn't the Boy Scouts.

Wrong. It was a legal issue when Wade was subpoenaed to testify about a matter that involved somebody else being engaged in an unlawful activity. Once the FBI wiretap recording was released and there was evidence to suggest that their head basketball coach was in violation of NCAA bylaws, it was incumbent upon LSU to investigate the matter and exercise institutional control to protect the university from sanctions.

It's not really cheating though. It's a made up rule. Now where in the sport of basketball does it say one team can't be more talented than the other.
Cheating would be actively throwing games, steroids, point shaving, shite like that.

If you are looking for integrity, stop following college sports. The whole system is build on corruption and systematic oppression of amateur athletes. You are cheering for kids who are bound by a corrupt organization and their rules. You cannot pick and chose what makes you feel better

I used to be with you. But this scandal involves as many as 50 programs. Zion Williamson's dad was caught on tape asking for money and Kansas wanted to do everything it could to meet his price. SC was also in the bidding war. But then unexpectedly, Zion signs with Duke. Simply because he loves Coach K, right? Where's the media outrage? Where's the condemnation of Duke for playing a player that should be ineligible?

He could have gone to the meeting with his attorneys. But that being said if this is all about nothing why do you need attorneys. as far as alleva and king calling a meeting, are you serious? You cannot possibly have ever owned or ran a business. if an employee of mine does something that can jeapordize my business you damn well better believe i am calling a meeting to discuss and if that employee refuses to show he is fired. This is not a contest about who is the real LSU fan. I've sat through and watched as many losing seasons as anyone when it comes to LSU basketball and football. I am an LSU fan. Not an LSU, when they are winning, fan. That said, i am amazed at how skewed the view is here just because Alleva and king are so hated on this site. And I have said before, I am not an alleva, king supporter but at some point commonsense has to take over. The players can still play and they can still make that run. Hopefully with WW but if not then with an interim coach. We have 3 point guards which is like having 3 coaches on the floor. Talk about history if they can make a run like that. I will continue to support the program and I hope WW can come out of this unscathed. I am definitely not judging him as he is doing what he can in a sport where players are constantly being bribed. It is what it is. but let's stop pretending that the only bad guys are king and alleva. We are here because wade is on tape. period.
