You don't know O well enough by now?

He'd rather throw his players under the bus than take blame for things that go wrong. I know it's easy to pick on Giles, but he should have never been #7 to start with.

I don't think anyone who has yet to play a down in a regular season game for LSU should be given any team honors like that until they do, regardless of how they look in practice.

Maybe it could be done for #18, since that signifies something different than the number 7 jersey.

Orgeron isn't a smart man. He can recruit and motivate. Beyond that, he's just a guy who isn't very smart and will have to completely depend on the coordinators.

Glad to see the players have his back. It's a shame his coach doesn't.

I agree he should not have said it in public, even though it’s true.

While it’s not wrong hindsight, doesn’t mean you should say this in the media. This is the second time that O has made a mistake by saying what he feels.

This isn’t a great look for current/previous/future players with O. He needs to keep this shite in house and just BS/skip those type of questions moving forward.

He is talking about - him- Coach O is the one the made the mistake and like he always does - sees the mistake and moves on - Giles did nothing last year and Delpit is the new #7

Giles is the one that did not live up to the honor of wearing #7

I agree. what's so hard about just saying Delpit earned it. Why throw Giles under the bus like that? no need

why does he need to keep it in house ?

state the truth - make men out of boys

do what you need to do to be a winner

learn how to put on big boy pants and take the shite that this world throws out - be a man dude !!!

it's called - man up !!

Good on Orgeron, it either fires up Giles or makes him fold, not like he could get any worse, I’m proud of Orgeron being a straight shooter. If Giles gets offended over a jersey number comment he’s got a long life of disappointments coming.

I think back to that muffed punt against A&M, and all the other close calls he had back there. Giles production was nonexistent.

Rooting for Giles to bounce back in a big way

That wasn't a gut shot that was a shot at himself and the truth. #7 goes to a true playmaker not a practice squad superstar.

Because, you know, god forbid any players be held accountable.

He literally said “I made a better decision this year” lol that’s as much of a shot at himself as it is at Giles

It’s funny because every time he made a fair catch this place was on his arse, saying he doesn’t belong on the team.
