Can CP 2077 possibly live up to the hype?

This will possibly be the most anticipated game of the decade. It's been the better part of a decade in development. It's shrouded in secrecy. There will be no beta.

Even if it's as good as Witcher 3, it will fall short of the hype.

Can it possibly meet or exceed expectations?

Somebody told me today they got the same game director as Witcher 3. I have tremendous faith in CD projekt red. I think it will be amazing

I do agree with people the dialogue wasn’t great in the trailer. I hope they improve that.

Also, honestly, the world design seemed kinda empty from that trailer in some ways. City seemed small and looks like a lot of empty space. I guess I didn’t like that trailer too much

I tried the Witcher and couldn't get into it. I probably didn't give it enough of a chance. Definitely interested in this.

if it was any company other than CD Project Red creating it, I would not believe the hype

Hype can cripple a game very easily, and the hype for 2077 is way too damn high. In other words, anything short of GOTY in every major review outlet will be a letdown based on all of the hype I have seen.
Such is the nature though of being a developer with a highly successful game in its track record.

It isn’t for everyone. It’s a time sink and if you don’t enjoy the genre I can see why people can’t get into it. It checks off every box for me though and it’s the GOAT gaming experience, imo.

For whatever reason CP 2077 is hyped up in my mind, but it’s not some mythical game in my mind that needs to be put on a pedestal. Like with the Witcher, I’m sure if you aren’t a huge fan of the Cyberpunk setting in general it won’t be a game for you and I’m sure people will rag on it for that.

Rockstar and CDPR are the only two studios I don’t question in regards to how they do development and what they include in a game.

I think it will be a great game, but I’m not expecting the GOAT or anything if you are then you’re setting yourself up for disappointment.

Yes. It looked like a complete game 2yrs ago.

It is CD Project RED.

I hated it the first 10hrs then the story really grew on me and they created maybe the only open world game ever where all the quests felt unique.

The game is a Top5 GOAT for me.

I'm generally not a fan of cyberpunk, but the CP 2077 trailer really caught my attention. I loved the Deus Ex games, and the CP 2077 trailer gave me the same vibe...but improved on every level. And it's CDPR. I've been a massive fan of theirs since the original Witcher.

CP2077 is like a Red Dead 2. You know it will live up to the hype and you know you will play it

Haven’t a lot of people ragged on RDR2?

I’ve heard both sides though. People loving it and hating it.

I think they've pushed it back once or twice.

To me that's a good sign because they're trying to perfect it and not shoving out a shite-sandwich like other recent companies.

*EA, cough cough*

no. if it is as good as the witcher but in the cyberpunk universe then it will be a smashing success.

I spent over 100 hours three times with Witcher 3.

Hell, it will already be better than Witcher 3 because it won't have the worthless Skellige water ?????????
