Sorry been out of the loop the last couple of years with work and life after being a die hard USMNT fan. Was wondering how our squad is looking at the moment, and what our future outlook is going into the new cycle? Are we optimistic with the new coaching staff coming in? Thanks baws, I’ll hang up and listen!

Hard to say until he calls the first team up in a few weeks.

First matches showed a real style of play, as well as the potential within our youth system. Several really good showings in the January camp.

We’ll see what happens with the next call ups... I have a sneaky suspicion that we see a couple different faces based on who fits GB’s system.

Nobody knows. Just about everything is up for grabs. No idea how good the first team will be but I think everyone is hopefully optimistic.

Using some thoughts from here, the below is what I would look at.
LINK

4-3-3

G - Zack Steffen

RB - DeAndre Yedlin
CB - John Brooks
CB - Matt Miazga
LB - Antonee Robinson

Left Attacking MF - Weston McKennie
Defensive MF - Tyler Adams
Right Attacking MF - Darlington Nagbe

Left Wing - Christian Pulisic
Striker - Josh Sargent
Right Wing - Tim Weah

While I would love that, I just don’t see Jozy/Bobby/Fat Jordan not playing up top.

I already think Sargent should start, but would prefer him in a 4-2-2-2 alongside Altidore. Pulisic and Weah as wings, Nagbe roaming in the middle, and McKennie as CDM in front of the back line.

Just my preference. It will be interesting to see who GB prefers vs who he doesn’t even call up.

Is Fat Jordan = Jordan Morris?

He scored 2 today...one with left foot (maybe both).

frick fats.

Yeah fats = Morris. I’m convinced if I talk enough shite about him maybe he’ll end up being decent, just so I can eabd.

So basically sub Ariolla for Bradley?

How crappy does Toronto have to get for some of the blame to fall on your 2 USMNT starters?

Toronto won game 1 with only one DP available and Bradley scored twice.

The only way you can put any blame on Jozy is to blame him for being injured.

Jozy played in 13 MLS games last season and scored 7 goals (25 total games with 13 goals).

Didn’t they just get whipped in CL?

Again, without Jozy, they sold Giovinco a week earlier, and Ciman was responsible for about every goal they gave up.

Is it Bradley's fault that they couldn't score, Boyd missed his penalty, etc?

It's not his fault that the front office lowballed Giovinco.

That’s probably the lineup I foresee, but think the CB onside of Brooks is still open. Will be interesting to see who emerges to win it over the next couple years.

So much for this lineup...
No Robinson - hurt
No Nagbe - ?
No Sargent - U23
No Weah - U23
