For mouth breathers, your tax refund being smaller is a good thing!

The tax cuts allowed your check to increase more each pay period. So instead of giving the government an interest free loan, you made a little more throughout the year.

I didn't think this would be necessary to say but apparently it is. The Trump tax plan is working.

Maybe understand your tax bracket, and be an adult. Do you owe 3 grand? Stop claiming single and 9 dependents.

Boomers just invented taxes to hold millennials and minorities down

It’s time they paid their fair share

Well that's your damn fault for letting the government draw interest on your money during the year instead of you drawing it. Readjust your W-4 and don't have so much held out of your retirement check.

It’s not hard to setup your filing status to not have to owe money. And if your taxes are more difficult, go to a tax attorney.

I agree the tax code should be simplified but it’s not terribly difficult to get your personal income taxes in order if you don’t have unusual circumstances/deductions.

compare your taxes paid in 2018 with taxes paid in 2017.

Stop being retarded and looking at your refund. It isn't about the refund... It is about taxes paid in.

I gotta pay some federal and state tax. I didn’t increase my deduction enough to account for the extra pay I received.

But...I’d muck rather have my money and have to pay a bit than to let the gov. hold my money and then refund it without any interest.

How much did you pay in taxes in 2018?
Which number is greater?

I have no advice for someone who paid more in taxes than I made last year.
