Steve Bonfanti who recently died was a partner in Sammys restaurant. He was the qualifying party for the liquor license. There has to be a formal revocation Of the license and a temporary suspension period before the new qualifying party can formally obtain a license subject to review. It’s essentially the same as applying for a new liquor license with board review and background checks.

Sammy fired a long time manager of a successful location not for performance problems, he just simply saw one day how much the dude was making and Sammy decided he didn’t want to pay that salary anymore.

Manager was there over a decade and cut loose on a whim. Right to work is fine but I’m gonna exercise my right not to eat there anymore

guessing they'll have to grease some wheels to get that expedited especially for this time of year for them.

ATC is a fricking joke

It was only a year or so ago they were threatening breweries who served, gasp, hot food on their premises.

I worked at Sammy's when I was in college (06-07), and this was peak Sammy's. Crawfish was the best in BR, and the prime rib and grilled shrimp po-boys couldn't be beat. The staff was awesome, and that place was always slammed. Now adays it's terrible.

yeah I guess it doesn't affect enough people day to day, but I'll never understand why we allow antiquated branches like this to continue to exist or exist with as much power as they're granted

It was fine when it expanded to the back area too. But the multiple locations have destroyed what we remember of the place.

it's another form of patronage from the governor's office. even the rank and file agents tend to have connections somewhere.
