Probably many people missed what Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf was communicating in the interview. As a former LSU basketball player he will be honored to have his jersey retired at LSU, but more importantly he understands that his accomplishments on the basketball court will not be the ticket for him to enter paradise. That's a deep thought! For sure, Mahmoud is a better human being than myself.

Some of the most genuine and great people I met at LSU were Saudis on exchange programs, a few decided to stay. No need to hate.
