Bama hiring Major Applewhite as analyst

I wish LSU was smart enough to do so! A damn good recruiter and players seem to like him a lot. I dont understand how Bama can have all of these analyst and we dont.

I didn't realize that he was previously OC with Bama.
Saban's coaching rehab is still fully operational. It's really not a bad move for Saban. He gets cheap labor while putting their nuts in a vise

Never said he was a great coach...... but he is a good recruiter and players do like him it seems. But since you know it all, I guess you're right.

Analysts do not recruit and cannot directly coach players. If he was so great Bama would probably have him doing those things

Are you sure about that? This is probably true for every school but Bama. The rules don’t apply to them like everyone else. If I recall, they had an analyst in the booth on a NC game with a headset. It was caught live on TV, yet nothing happened. I’m sure he was just ordering a pizza or something.

Analyst can’t recruit. They can’t coach either. If applewhite was particularly good at either he’d have a job on a staff somewhere
