I actually don't hate Booker's answer to that question.
He is definitely going to be the one out of him/Harris to attempt to move to the center. It won't work for him, but i'd much rather this type of statement than Harris blatantly pandering.

If I’m a Democrat I’m worried watching these candidates fumbling around on these type of issues. Booker is from New Jersey so he KNOWS how big of a deal this is with Italians. Problem becomes you have 2 black candidates that aren’t authentic. You have crazy Bernie and Warren entering the race with nothing but freebies and whose the adult in the party. 2004 was similar and that when voters flocked to John Kerry but this isn’t the same party.
Sherrod Brown is looking pretty damn good right about now if I’m actually worried about winning in 2020.

Can't disagree with any of that. However if I were a Democrat and being as pragmatic/cynical about actual chances to win, Bloomberg would be my guy.
Unfortunately for them however, they are far too emotional and filled with rage to back someone that thoughtful and deliberative.

I know this. Doesn't change the fact that he would be my preferred candidate if I were a Democrat, and one of the people with the best chance to defeat the President.
Bloombergs problem is that he won't stand a chance in the primaries.
