What's the point of stricter gun laws when they don't even enforce the laws currently on the books?
Honestly if this is the way gun laws will be enforced let them pass whatever laws they want. They're not going to follow up.

Bottom line, this one is on the State of Illinois and the City of Aurora. THEY KNEW a felon had a weapon and sent him a letter, then did nothing else about it for years.
I know that the typical person who would buy a gun when he knows he's not allowed would most certainly then respond to a letter!! Cause, it's on govt letterhead. You got to take that seriously!!

he was registered to vote as a democrat so there was no need to take his gun away, after all, it was assumed he was just supposed to shoot republicans with that gun
