Do you ever remember a politician in your lifetime that supported illegal immigration?

Until the last few years, that is? How about one that was pro socialism? I can’t remember a single one in three decades that did until this last election cycle. What has changed? Why all of a sudden?Cant fully blame the orange man, even after he leaves office this push will still continue.

I remember Reagan granting blanket amnesty to a bunch of illegals. And Republicans/Democrats doing absolutely nothing to stop the inflow since. So... most politicians support illegals flooding our country and ruining it, for various reasons.

I’m just glad that people like juice fairy and bmy are showing their true colors wanting gun confiscation, open boarders and true socialism. It shows you where the retarded base actually stands

That’s different than a politician outright calling for no borders, no?

Trump stole the rust belt voters from the Dems. The rest of the white voters woke up when the communist Barry Soetoro arrived on scene. Dems need replacement voters for the white voters they lost. The Repukes that don't stand up against it are slaves to the Chambers' of Commerce / big business lobby.

So granting amnesty to over 3 million illegals doesn't support illegal immigration?

we already have borders, the problem is more people get in illegally by coming in legally and overstaying their welcome. they dont all hop the border where there isnt a wall, thats actually only about 1/3rd of illegals, and that number shrinks even more when u count for the ones that go through the gulf rather than over land borders

I think a lot of credit has to go to Bernie Sanders. You are correct that 20 years ago no Dem candidate for anything would have openly declared his love of socialism.
Then Bernie enters the race and everyone thinks he'll get 5% of the primary vote. Then he almost beats Hillary. The message to the Dems was 'We can come out of the closet! Socialism is now a winning issue.'

was that like 20 million illegals ago?

Bernie’s rise and Hillary’s loss. It emboldened them all to come out of hiding and reveal themselves. Hillary losing was a tragedy for the Dem establishment. They had everything invested into her and now the radicals smell blood.

Historically both parties have been lenient to the ones already here. There is a reason they don't go full bore against companies or people using illegals for work.
However, they have also talked a tough game about new aliens trying to get in. 2006, Democrats were fine with 40 billion for a wall / barriers. 25 billion in 2013.
It is a recent phenomenon that they democrats are now trying to equate illegal immigration with legal immigration and it is recent that they just don't give a single frick about border protection.
All in the name of votes down the line. It has zero to do with helping a single person other than themselves. That is an actual fact. Nothing more than future vote gathering at the expense of their current voters.
