Man, they are ripping this chick.
She did not have her constituents or neighbors best interest in mind. These were 25,000 jobs for New Yorkers.
People are fleeing in droves and NY’s influence in Congress will be diminshied come next redistricting wherein they will lose 1-2 seats in Congress

She has no grasp of what local govt was doing. The 3 billion in tax breaks was not “giving amazon 3 billion” that she would want to invest in her district for teachers etc. sure that sounds nice, getting more teachers, but there is no 3 billion payment. Those are tax breaks. Breaks that would have generated 25k jobs and more available money to be spent locally.

There isn't a liberal alive that understands tax breaks. They assume tax breaks means that taxes are given to these companies. Rather than the truth, that taxes are not imposed on the company.
Tell me, the left bitched about Amazon getting $3 billion in tax breaks. Meaning Amazon would not have to pay $3 billion that would otherwise be imposed upon them as a company. So Amazon decides to not go to New York. New York, you are still in the exact same situation as you were in before. So rather than not get $3billion in corporate taxes, but gather billions in other taxes on the company, and it's employees, you also are missing out on citizens having jobs, not being on unemployment, and actually paying income taxes. So rather than have a massive net gain in taxes. You chose to continue PAYING more taxes to subsidize the people that could have had jobs. Not to mention the multitude of ancillary support jobs that accompany large industry. No different than the idiots here in Baton Rouge and their rebuke of Exxon.
Plain and simple, Democrats are a plague on the economy.

The funny thing is she has a degree in economics. Whats one of the first things they teach you in economics? How think at the Margins. In her mind, as you say, she thinks its the city taking away $3 Billion from the subway. When, in reality, that money isn't sitting somewhere waiting to be spent. Its tax base that could move in that wont be collected on the promise of creating tax base from employee salaries and expenditures. Its a marginal calculation. She should know this.
