What is more of an executive overreach - the Wall or DACA?

I am seeing a lot of freaking out about the terrible precedent this sets but I'm not sure I'm buying it. The merits and authority of the wall order are absolutely in question but is this really some major move in precedent? DACA was a massive expansion of power by the executive (I'd argue more so than this but it's up for debate).
IMO precedent related to immigration was broken back then. Let's be honest - the radical Dems are going to do whatever they need to do to achieve their objectives anyway. The Constitution and any possible precedent are merely a nuisance.

I find it funny that the Dems are "radical", yet Trump is basically acting like a King and you blindly support him and his policies without question. Not to mention the bloated debt that is squarely on Trump's shoulders.
Trump is big government, huge government. So I just want Republicans to admit that them being for small government and limiting the power of the executive is BS.

DACA was the King African deciding on brand new immigration laws unilaterally. The wall is the head of the Executive branch doing pretty much the only thing the federal government is even there for, protecting our borders.

DACA because it directly is in conflict with the laws of the U.S.
The wall is part of the Commander in Chief's Constitutional duty to guard the U.S. and is in accord with the laws.

Yet you would vote for Barrack "Executive Order" Obama instead

I think Trump should've pushed harder when his party actually had control of the government. He should've seen this coming, but more importantly, those he surrounds himself with should've seen this coming.

The difference is, DACA was gone as quickly as it was issued.
A wall will stay, regardless of future EO.

Horse fricking shite
Tell us in this bill where the "negotiators" trimmed ANYTHING of significance.

He continues to miscalculate how merciless his opposition is. I don't understand it at all.

The wall. DACA was not doing something.
The wall is a massive construction project.
Action is more of an overreach than inaction.

DACA, and it's not even close.

I see your point but this isn't really true.

First off, DACA was an EO. Not a PEA. Secondly, there was no physical construction. Third and as was asserted, the DACA action was largely about not doing something. It revolved around an EO assertion we would not deport. Once eliminated, regular law was left to take over.

I guess since the Supreme Court already ruled DACA was unconstitutional and the wall is clearly stated in the constitution as with in the presidential rights...then there's the dems wanting to give billions to foreign countries so they can build walls but supposedly it's immoral to do it here....so yeah, the DACA shite is the overreach.

DACA didn't involve trying to circumvent Congress-- who constitutionally holds the power of the purse-- for funds. So I'd say the national emergency for a wall was more of an over reach. This board seems a fan of the idea that the current president has broad discretion on immigration issues, so to be consistent with that framework, DACA isn't an over reach, as it's the president exercising that authority as well.
