Tournament and the guys scrounging for the BASS tournament next weekend had the Bend filled with go fast boats. Exciting times as thick as the morning fog was, luckily didn’t hear of any incidents. Naturally the weather forecast missed by a mile so we froze our arses off.
Sac’s are in transition, out of deep water but not piled up in the shallows yet. Apparently the 2016 floods ripped up and carried off most of the grass in the lake they would normally stage in, so it’s quite the challenge until the shallows load up. Girlfriend and I pulled out 14, but they were absolutely huge, even the males. The females were bulging with eggs and the eggs sacks were bloody so the time is nigh. In the next couple of weeks, barring more rain dumping, it should be on.
Fished with Living the Dream and couldn’t have been happier. Josh had great gear, from the boat to the ultralight rigs and worked his arse off to make sure we had a good time. I’ve already booked another trip for early summer brushpile hammering. We literally stepped onto the boat and got back in our vehicle at Toledo Town with a gallon bag stuffed with fillets without having to do anything other than chunk and wind. My kind of trip.

Just back from Lake Martin. Picked up six bass this morning. There were a lot of boats, although it didnt seem real crowded. Didnt see many of them bass fishing. They were mostly perch jerkin. The conditions seemed perfect, but it was still a tough morning. Couldnt figure out a pattern.

Thanks man. I'm still perplexed where to go tomorrow. Have a feeling drastic weather change going to make them lock jaw but I'm going to find out.

The weather looks like it will be bad with an extra side of shitty tomorrow. I may clean the boat and hit a pond.

Wish i had the day off tomorrow, my boat could use a good cleaning, as well. Guess itll have to wait until the next outing.

Conway canal off Blind River...helped a buddy do some work at his camp...
did some fishing...caught em on a humdinger spinnerbait...
spent the night and this morning drinking coffee I counted 51 bass boats run by before I stopped counting...
seems Lutcher HS and a local club had a tournament this morning...
a friend was a boat captain for a HS tournament out of Atchafalaya welcome center boat launch yesterday...
had 127 boats...

LA-Bass Anything Outdoors Tournament we dropped 17.16 on the scale. We had two around 4.85 and lost a 3 that would have culled a 2-11. Guy in front of us took first weighed in 17.17.

Nice slabs! Where in the world were you fishing in shorts and a t-shirt? It was 49* and cold as a well-digger’s arse up here all weekend

I could have done this this morning. Early on it was in the low 60s, but it warmed up after a lil bit.
