We forget these are kids that have lives off the court.

quote:

He had a physics test on Thursday. He had an anatomy test last night at 7 o'clock. Who in here could perform well when you're studying for those things?," Wade questioned. "You could see the weight of the world off his shoulders this morning after he finished. He did very well on both tests. It's like wearing a weight vest when he's shooting because he's got all that other stuff going on."

Skylar is pre-med. He is an exceptionally smart guy. Tremendous kid on and off the court.

College was hard enough without playing sports. I’m glad Will Wade pointed that out.

He's definitely the kind of kid that makes watching college sports great. He's definitely the kind of kid I love seeing do well.

I actually wonder if he is “thinking too much” right now. Some times smart kids over analyze when they get in a slump. Just turn it loose Skylar. But he is the true definition of a student athlete.

Same. I feel like that gets forgotten sometimes. Coaches hardly mention this.

Skylar will go down as one of my goat LSU players.

I've called him deliberate on the court, because he seems to will himself into being good.

You can see his leadership on and off.

Glad so many are on the bandwagon now too.

I think something clicked today. He may be coming out of the slump. Need him to have a huge impact at Rupp. Rooting hard for him, and you could tell by the roars from the crowd on his clutch baskets today that many others are as well.

Dubravka Rupnik is widely regarded as one of the worst professors at LSU (when it comes to teaching). It is a hard class. The average was a F.

On Friday she said an electric field is like Highland Road and didn’t say anything else. The whole class was confused af.

Damn. Anatomy test at 7 on a Friday night?

I'll admit, I would have bailed or failed.

On a team with a lot of talent, his drunken master basketball style stands alone.

He should be an academic All-American. I know LSU has had a few in other sports like football, but he may be the first or one of only a few in basketball.
