Great tank loss
Also I feel like Joakim Noah dominates AD.

I don't know about random reasons. Maybe I'm just a nutty fan who prefers wins over losses.
That, and there's no reliable evidence that tanking pays off in the end in most situations.

I can’t actively cheer for us to not win, but I also don’t get upset if we don’t win at this point.

There is evidence that tanking produces more valuable assets. Now...what a team chooses to do with those assets, how they develop them, whether they keep them or trade them... that can't be determined. But it is unquestionable that the 2nd pick is worth more on the market than the 6th pick. It provides more opportunities, either inside the draft and outside of it.
But yes, it is very easy for teams to squander and mess up those opportunities. I still would rather have those opportunities to squander than whatever non-tangible reward I would have gotten with a win against Memphis on February 9th. I think the easiest thing to do is: Root for a handful of players to play well, while also rooting for the team to lose. And if some reason you can't do that, just root for the opponent to win. Its semantics, but it might help.
