Right now I have Comcast with wireless boxes. I think nowadays the wireless boxes are a decent choice, however haven’t done wired boxes for ease of transferring boxes around without running cables. Do the wired boxes require coax? I figured they would just need cat 6, but I could be wrong.

Also, am doing the cameras, but those are just cat 6. For access points, I have the Orbi setup in my current house. That just plugs into the power outlet. I could just add another one of those if needed, correct?

Coax is cheap. If your walls are open I’d run it.

I would take multiple wired access points over mesh any day.

Since you're already invested in Orbi then it's fine. If it ever dies then look into installing APs.

Yes, you can always add orbi satellites

It is also now an option to run a etherent wired backhaul between orbi units. That may help depending on how your new house is layed out
