It is what it is. You either adapt or get left behind.

He probably didn’t give a frick about the incident. He used this as an excuse to play immediately. I can’t say I blame him for it, I would have done the same. The NCAA however can’t let CFB become free agency, which basically is what it’s becoming.

This. Blame the NCAA for not having the balls to make him sit a year

Racist comments can happen just as easily at Ohio St

It sets a horrible precedent. I just can't see a reason to turn anyone down now.
Fields did have an incident. Why didn't he leave then? Why stay on? He didn't play really. His sister is still there so obviously the family isnt concerned about racism.
He left because he was gonna be sitting for 2 more years. Plain and simple. Isnt that why most kids transfer? It's a bad precedent. It's free agency. Soon the tampering starts. Essentially the recruitment never stops. If we are gonna do that then just throw the rules out and bail from the NCAA. Essentially the minor leagues of the NFL.
Not saying I'm not a fan of that as I am. Just not a fan of the pretending there's some kind of structure when every new rule leads towards the opposite. Just go ahead and make it no holds barred until someone puts together a plan to reel it in.

How would that be the same as what happened in this case?

Perhaps the notional individual could understand the violent, racist, misogynistic lyrics?

If this was true and GA was this bad for the kid, no parent would let the daughter enroll there after the "incident".

Here’s a really silly racist comment for everyone to chew on. Black folks are all hard and shite from growing up in the hood where they never hear no racial arse daragotory insults. But a polo wearing frat boy says the N word and he can’t take it anymore. Even though the most celebrated Jawa player in recent history is a Black man. It’s complete bullshite make him sit out like everyone else are change the dumbass rule.

Will not play for at least two years at Bama. He is nowhere near ready for CFB.

I didn't do a god damn thing to those people. No one alive in this country today owned slaves and not one of those people was a slave.

That poor 20 year old black kid. Being pulled straight out of the cotton fields and forced to have an opportunity at an education and every possible opportunity to succeed just because he is black. For shame.

At what point is it time for them to stand and be responsible for themselves instead of crying victim all the time because of history that didn't happen to them?

My family was dirt fricking poor when I was a kid. My parents are living a modest comfortabke life now. I will never ever be wealthy, but I have a relatively comfortable life. Why? Because my parents worked their asses off and taught me to do the same. They didn't wine and complain every god damn day about how rough they had it and blame that for their troubles and use it as a crutch to never better themselves. They didn't stand out with their hands out saying I am a victim, take care of me.

They went out and made it fricking better.

Yep. An education that isn't costing him a dime. You have to feel sorry for him. He's got it rough.

You wanna stop transfers with no penalty? Guarantee a scholarship. You concede that, then I think people will concede the transfer rule. Right now the coaches and institutions have all the power. Public opinion has shifted to wanting the players to have the power.

I used to be pretty adamant that the college scholarship was enough. I still think everything that the university provides student athletes is enough such that the university doesn’t need to pay them, but I’ve changed my opinion on making money off of their likeness.
If a regular student can do it, let the athletes do it. If a regular student can monetize a YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, website, what ever, let the athletes do it.

What a crock of shite. So now athletes know if they don’t play immediately, just say someone is racist and they’ll get to transfer

Why is it Bull Sh@#? There are a lot of racist on here! Is it possible that Justin Fields was really offended?
