IMO, the O-apologists dismiss and downplay the comparisons. And for the most part, they are not favorable comparisons at this juncture.

What exactly is there that needs to be apologized for again?

I was pretty heavily anti-O.

I'm now at the point of "okay, this wasn't a disaster, let's see what happens next". Troy loss was horrible and defining... but perhaps defined that the team was complacent, and needed a shock to wake up.
Since that game, O has run the program at standard, expected "LSU" levels. Defensively competitive games against Alabama with no offense- check. Wins against other teams that would presume to surpass us- check. Occasional losses to good teams that anger the faithful- check. Ranked- check.

We have Burrow another year, and then we'll see if we finally get another decent QB. If we can have a couple in a row, I think LSU (and thus, O) will be fine.

I disagree. Orgeron tenure seems to be at least equal to all but Saban. LSU was absolutely screwed against aTm before anyone disputes this.

Lmao. Not favorable? He just finished ahead of both of them with a final #6 ranking. If you want to give Fisher credit for the fkn the sec refs gave lsu, so be it. Actually comical you stating he isn't currently stacking up to Fisher and Herman. Seriously.

O has clearly exceeded Les Miles. He had to rebuild Miles roster.. that was bare on the line of,scrimmage.

No one is going to be xceed Saban. Completely unfair.

He has already exceeded Herman. Herman has a much better recruiting base and a far far better funded school. Texas has been and will,be a great football school for a long time.

Fisher left FSU in a complete disarray. He is at a school in a much larger and better recruiting base. TAM has far far more resources than LSU

Lsu needs to win games and championships

Never let your hatred be overcome by fact. Never !!!

Final rankings:
2 Alabama
6 LSU
9 Texas
16 Texas A&M

Nick Saban: Annual salary $8.3 million 12 years at Bama
Ed Orgeron: Annual salary $3.5 million 2 years at LSU
Tom Herman: (Hot Lips/Kissing Bandit) Annual salary $5.2 million 2 years at Texas
Jimbo Fisher: Annual salary $7.5 million 1 year at A&M

Tom Herman Is The Biggest Jackass In College Football
And that is the article's title and not my words.

Tom mocking Drew Lock - a college football player:

Jimbo all bowed up to 13 year old girl in stands because he knows she can't get to him. She was pissed because those great recruiting classes (at the very least the 2nd best in the ACC) resulted in a home loss to unranked Louisville and a losing record. She would have whooped his butt.
