LSU Will Finish With The 4th Ranked Class

This was the result of an earlier thread I posted but I thought it was worthy of its own thread.
A&M has 27 commits. Braedon Mowry did not sign (didn’t qualify). Loosing him alone puts their recruiting class below us based on 247 calculator. Josh Ellison was grayshirted and from what I understand also won’t count towards their final class ranking. So we should finish 4th.

We need Hampton and Parker to maker it in, just saying. We are in a similar situation still for enrolled rankings.

All this because of ESPN still claiming to rank. They don’t even update their site.

Sorry these aren’t the rankings I was referring to. And a&m’s average would go down with loss of braedon Mowry as well.

But wait, last year everyone told me class rank doesn't matter.

The difference is those two signed. So they took up the schollies and are therefore a part of the class. These two didn’t.

Kicker and long snapper hurts that average player rating

LSU was 3rd overall. Rivals got the team rankings right, because they didn't sabotage the rating/ranking of K. Thomas. The young man participated in all of the elite events and more than held his own.
LSU had 5 5* players between the different recruiting services.

Auburn is probably incorrect too because of Moore.

Recruiting rankings can be nuanced .What is the true measure is how the scholarships available were utilized. QB and other skilled positions plus edge rushers are generally more valued. Kickers and punters are undervalued.
The use of available scholarships for valued transfers at crucial positions of need cannot be under estimated. When you factor the contributions of Cole Tracy and Joe Burrow the weighted recruiitng grade for LSU would clearly place them in the top 5 to 7 range for use of the scholarships.

Looking at averages you can pretty much categorize it by tiers:
Tier 1:
Bama and UGA (elite level talent)
Tier 2 (separated by less that 1 pt - mostly 4 star level):
Auburn
UF
A&M
LSU
Tenn
Tier 3: (mostly 3 star)
USCe
Miss St
Arky
OM
Kentucky
Mizzou
Tier 4 (3 and 2 star level)
Vandy

Time out - LSU took a kicker and long snapper which lowers the average player ranking. But we got the best at both of those positions which are critical for special teams

Oh get fricked. Years when the average ranking is super high but the class ranking is lower, you people bitch.
