I don't believe this one bit. The dude went to watch Bama play fricking Mizzou over the biggest recruiting weekend that LSU had vs UGA. That's telling enough

Nobody lied. The brother reclassified. Anyone with a brain should have known the deal at that point. Staff was pissing on the wall, then someone turned on a fan in the room. Got caught with their pants down

Again

I don't think Vol was lying or even thinks of himself as an insider. I think Vol is the son of a coach, or related in someway, and hears things. He's a big LSU fan and wants to share what he hears...and we all love it.

I think this gives us a bird's eye view into the inner workings of the staff. Vol is optimistic and thinks everyone is committing because the coaches think that. He just passes along what he hears, so I think it says more about our coaches than anything else.

They want to play for the best program and best coach in college football history. Is that so difficult to understand.

He signed with Bama not Clemson

If you think money didn’t have anything to do with it then you are just blind. While I agree a percentage of it is wanting to play for the best coach in the nation, money is involved make no mistake about it.

The hate on this board for Vol is asinine. Though I have a feeling a lot of the people talking against him are Rantards.

I'm gonna guess: JBE was what they thought as their ace in the hole.

And you want to know how Bama countered if that's true?

Go put a GPS tracker on Soppy's mom's car. See if they don't move to a new house and new job in the next couple of months.

JBE won't be able to touch them. AND they'll start putting in time on that Alabama state pension working as an administrative assistant at Northridge or or some other high school.

Ish was never coming here and most people in the AD tried to be positive about it holding out hope, but deep down they knew like we knew he wasn’t coming here.

Sources probably got played, I know some guys who thought LSU was in a good spot.
The relationship between Rodney Sr. and Sam is tight, they go a long way back, way to tight for me to even bet against Bama.

Another thing to take note of is that LSU was never told no, his mom and everyone not named Rodney loved the visit, but its hard to say how close things were.it was rumored he made his decision a day after he got home from the OV.

Amite is a just a tough place to get a read on. To much Bama influence within the program. Just look forward to another 4-5 years before we have to deal with that shite again.

Someone else made the comment about sopsher family being in some kind of trouble and JBE helping them with it.

JBE bad for Louisiana and bad for recruiting.

Guess that help won't come.

So Ish betrays his state, his brother and his family's get out of jail free card to go play at Bama.

Wow!

Yeah I am not bashing the guy. Him and another guy seemed pretty confident. Just curious what happened. My guess is as you have said, Sopsher told the coaches he was coming or he wasn't going to Bama.

I have a feeling what was offered them wasn’t as good as what Bama offered.
