yep, Surtain called Raymond after midnight crying while advising he was gonna sign with ALA. Corey invested 5 years recruiting Surtain and he was basically family. Raymond must have felt like he was kicked in the nuts when Surtain said he was signing with the evil empire.

Much to this story has not been revealed. Surtain is not where he wants to be. The reason " They win championships" is malarkey. That existed long before he flipped and i fit was the reason he would have flipped much earlier. ( No, Saban did not have him playing games so LSU could no thave time to recruit a replacement)

Correction:
During a dead period a college coach may not have face-to-face contact with college-bound student-athletes or their parents, and may not watch student-athletes compete or visit their high schools. Coaches may write and telephone student-athletes or their parents during a dead period.

many of them you bet your arse he does.

and coach O has integrity and would remain silent and let these kids have their day
this is dumb. The staff, especially head coach is a BIG PART of that day.

Orgeron (or any recruiting coach) isn't an observant bystander. Both the recruit and the coach are integral to the whole damn process that for many cluminates and ends with the signing & fax.

Then starts the next phase, the next 3-5 years, in which the coaches are also integral. This is a partnership process, not a customer-client process.

If, as a coach, you find yourself acting like or expected to treat a recruit as a customer (i.e. somewhat impersonal), then it is highly unlikely you are going to land that recruit anyway.

So if you know the truth, spill the beans and share the details. Did PS Sr. force his son to sign with ALA, was it money ? Surtain was all LSU for years, then has a change of heart weeks/days before NSD … doesn't make sense unless someone got in this kid's head.

If Surtain's not where he wants to be, is he gonna make a change thus resulting in his happiness ? Or is he gonna stay in Tuscaloosa for another 2 years and be even more miserable ? IMO, Surtain isn't going anywhere as he made his decision and will stick with it.

There are flips and there are FLIPS. This one was off the charts. Its obvious something happened. NO its not the tired old Dodge Charger story. Something influenced his decision that had nothing to do with LSU or Alabama. He called Corey at midnight in tears. Thats all you need to know about what was going down.

No, Surtain is not going to transfer. He will put in his two years and if he develops be a high draft pick. If not he drops to a mid level selection.

alright, just went to your post history to last feb signing day. You’re basically spewing the same stuff you did on the day of the flip.

Just speculating there something else. People have come on here since then and thrown some pieces.

Maybe you have found out a story from someone a year later, idk, but your story then and now is basically the same.
