I’m all for it NOW.

My biggest fear from the beginning was the negative rhetoric surrounding AD, and his camp is doing everything it can to diminish other team’s interest.

AD on the Knicks the rest of the year would not influence their W/L dramatically, and Knox will get some floor time with Jrue.

All that plus pick swap options. I get that offer from New York, give Ainge a shot to beat it and if he can't promise me something that beats it, I take it on Feb 7th

Would much rather DSJ over Ntilikina. Frank fricking blows. I’d rather bank on Elfrid getting better and staying healthy than gamble on Frank.

Couldn’t trade for DSJ until the summer

I disagree there. Don’t think he’s a great fit here, but he’s nasty defensively

Make that move now, trade Randle, keep Niko, re-sign him in offseason, sign Boogie, fill out roster with shooters. I like that team.

Still fine with waiting for the summer. Don’t know why you’d do it now as the Lakers continue to massacre your leverage. The pelicans get their leverage back in the summer when the Lakers will have to either punt on the 2019 free agency to maintain flexibility to sign AD or sign another max player and lose the ability to pay Davis.

3 days ago you clowned on me at the notion that he should be dealt before this deadline, what has changed?

Yeah Frank sucks. I don’t like him neither.

If that would occur, is there any way you can trust Ainge that he would not change the deal somehow later? Say Tatum blows up in the playoffs and helps Celtics get to finals. Does he change his mind and say he cannot give up Tatum (and deal with any consequences as they come)?

I think it’s the fact that NY is already locked into their lottery number percentage wise no matter what they do the rest of the season.

Because the lakers are trying to massacre our leverage

And getting a top 5 pick plus Knox and picks is still a damn strong haul.

You remove the negativity surrounding your organization rather than letting it linger

Everyone has been for trading him before the deadline IF a team is willing to oberpay..

Knox, Frank, Kanter, 2019 unprotected 1st, 2021 NYK 1st and the 2 Dallas picks would be overpaying

Three more games including tonight (Bos, MEM, DET) until the deadline.

if that offers on the table Feb. 7, I’m making the deal.

We should be around 8th best odds for #1, we are currently about 14% chance at top 4, that should improve. NY should be 2nd best odds at worst (1-3 all equal). I would really, really consider it.

I’m curious what you expect to get in the summer?

It's AD too man. LAL is where he wants to go in the first place, but he knows LAL is the only realistic team he can compete for a championship with this year too. That is obviously their motive too. But this is a collection of people wanting this move.
