Blaming your QB for the problem isn't going to get you very far, when you've been told to make changes.

Miles went 20-10 over his couple of seasons and part of 2016 until he was let go with three NFL future RB', and a passing game in the bottom 20% of all FBS offenses.

If Orgeron starts off the season 2-2 next year, I think he should be on the extremely hot seat.

Only by the 5% or so who can't get over the last guy and have KU emblems as their team.

Well, one guy had already been to two NCs and won one of them before all of that happened.

Mack Brown, Phil Fulmer, and Bobby Bowden won titles too, but like everyone their time passed.

You seem to think it's unreasonable for the head coach to be compared to the guy he replaced. Why?

Coaches should be compared to their contemporaries.

Compared =/= linked

Technically Herron is on Pats practice squad.

“ it won’t ever disappear”

Totally? Of course not, but a west championship will calm down a lot of fears And give Coach O some much needed capital to draw from if things go south. I am afraid a 10-3, 5-3 season with a O worse than Cam’s leaves a lot of question marks still.

When we win the west this year a lot of those will be washed away.

I try to view each season independently. I'll never be on any coaches bandwagon, but I don't feel badly about where we are right now, particularly if Orgeron can pull off the class it looks like he may.

But every year is simple "what have you done for me lately" and it should be that way.

Even as furious I was when he was hired and severely disappointed in the '17 season, I don't see why everyone doesn't feel this way going into this upcoming season. At the very least I believe it should be a wait and see approach.

I don't know how much sense that makes. A coach can go from great to needing to be fired because of one season? Of course the other seasons have to considered.

Instead of enjoying the great season,

That's the point. It was a good season, but not great. Finished third in the SEC West. Shut out by Bama at home. Lost to two teams with inferior talent, including one we hadn't lost too since they joined the conference.

All of O's classes to date have been ranked lower than Miles.

What upward trend? This is completely subjective, and seems to be based on nothing more than the fact that O managed to exceed the historically low expectations he had going into the season. Third in the SEC West is not the standard at LSU.

This will be his second.

What was Miles best class average? I think we will push it this year.

I hate this ..... Both teams had as much talent as LSU..... Not sure what you are basing this on.......

All three teams we lost to were in the top 20 in composite talent ranking.

Where did you find that stat? Not questioning you, just curious bc I've never seen it. Where do we rank in comparison?
