Hey Theo!
I just can’t get past the way he talks. He tries too hard to sound like a mix between country and gangster. It bothers me.

I don't think he's trying to sound like that. He grew up poor on the Northshore. I think his accent was genuinely formed from his youth setting.

I may need to go back but I don't remember him sounding like that when he was on the Real World.
Either way, it bothers me and I can't get past it.

I’m not saying any of these are the best in the business or anything, but I will always stop and listen on XM if I see Mike Birbiglia, Kyle Kinane, Kumail Nanjiani, or Hannibal Buress. I’ll have to keep an eye out for Bill Burr.

Theo is funny on stage, but nothing can beat his long form podcasts. He just says the most off the wall things I've ever heard. Him and Brendan Shaub are killing it with 'The Fighter and The Kid' and 'The King and The Sting'. All they do is talk crap and tell stories. It's amazing

Ellen's special was pretty good.

Bill Burr's animated show on Netflix "F is For Family" is great.
Highly recommend it. He voices the main character and does a lot of writing for it.

He’s been my favorite comedian since Why Do I Do This in 2008.
It’s sad to see his identity being slowly eroded by his sjw wife

Mulaney has the best combination of material (probably the best in the business) and delivery (very good) of anyone working.
Birbiglia is great, though I think he's better as a storyteller than at traditional stand-up.
Maria Bamford has to be top 5. Wish Tig Notaro was still doing her super weird stuff too, her last special was disappointing.
Hannibal Burress has my favorite delivery of anyone going right now, but his material is just mediocre for the most part.
Burnham could have been one of the greats, but he's moved onto bigger things. Ditto for Donald Glover.

If you're referring to John Mulaney, he's hilarious. His bit on the pitch for Back to the Future is one of my favorite comedy bits.

Nah
Michelle Wolfe and Amy Schumer are the best out there.

Hes funny on his podcasts. But his stories from growing up are unbelievable. Like I dont believe any of it. Covington is rural and im sure the poorer areas have some backwards shite going on. But he paints it as a place so far removed from society that insane redneck shite is constantly happening.

Bill's Conan clips are fantastic. No one can break up Conan like he does. Also, Bill's not afraid to take on an audience and make them squirm. His legendary Philadelphia show proved that.
One of the reasons that I still love Chappelle's show was that it introduced me to Bill. Racial Draft...NSFW

I went to high school with him. I was a couple years older. I honestly don’t think some of his stories are meant to be taken totally literal, but more exaggeration for the humor.

I grew up in Covington and while yes it has gotten a lot more modern, if you want to see some redneck shite, you don’t have to go too far outside the city limits. Folsom and Bush are not far away

His podcast with Conan was hilarious
