None. Worked for tips and was in school so had to make money to support the family.

None for me, but I’m a independent contractor so I don’t get time off. However, my schedule is flexible so if I needed to be off I could....just don’t get paid

Does your wife work? Or going back? Recovery and getting a routine is harder than you think so you really need a week to 2 weeks. No reason to take longer than that to start. Save your time and use it later here and there.

No kids, but most of my coworkers took a week off to help.

As long as the job will give me paid parental time off.

At minimum 1 week, if all goes good

I’m about to go through this. Plan is to be there for delivery. Run to company burger for lunch. Then handling calls from home and going to office at night to work. Also planned it during it Mardi Gras so the work will be slow.

My brother lives in Oakland. He got 3 months paid leave from his work after his daughter was born. He has up to a year from the birth to use it and doesn't have to use it all at once, can split it up how he wishes.

I took off two weeks after the birth. Then I worked a week and then took off the next week too. So I was off for 3 of 4 weeks after the birth.

Hardest part was trying to get in-laws to leave once I started back to work. Nothing more agrivating than working and coming home to in-laws who thought they could spend the night at our house for 10 days in a row. I would work 8 hours and come home to cook dinner for the in-laws while they sit on my couch and hold my baby after watching TV all day long.

7 weeks. PTO reset halfway through. Was amazing to be together for the first 2 months.

Company began offering 12 weeks paid immediately afterwards.
