Perhaps in 2017 DU overheated the ponds to where they were too warm and the ducks continued on down to LA. We’ll have to wait on 2018 numbers to make an accurate determination.

Tuscaloosa Flyway was not included in their study, nor was the Atlanta Flyway.

So my take away is a lot less people are hunting, but overall success rates have stayed relatively the same.
Don't suppose you put all that in a spreadsheet and can easily manipulate the numbers? I'm interested in seeing if average ducks/hunter correlates with days afield/hunter over the long term.

I live in Tuscaloosa but hunt in Hale County. We mainly get a lot of wood ducks

I’m not sure OP could have put that in in worst of a format to try and read.

Can this not be done in a spreadsheet?

Down from Sawyerville on the river

I mainly hunt my mom's land in Boligee, but my dad's family has some land not far from you in Hale.

Oh sweet.
My family has a stack of land up and down that river bend

Hard to believe the hunter numbers in LA are almost half of what they were in 1999
Posted on 1/24/19 at 5:09 pm to DuckSausage
And will continue downward unfortunately, just wait until we hit that 3/30 again.
Posted on 1/24/19 at 9:19 pm to KemoSabe65
Seems like this downward trend is more played out toward the amount of hunters more so than the number of ducks killed. The average duck/per hunter seems about the same.
