10-point SEC win. That'll work.

Yes , it was fairly obvious in the first half that we were by far the better team talent wise. But we played sloppy and loose on defense and let them stay within striking distance. In the second half we coasted and let them hang on. Shot selection was not good. Too many three's and attempted alley oops. If you make those kind of shots, they are crowd pleasers but if you don't you allow the other team to creep up on you. They killed us on three's as we once again had a very poor percentage of 25%. If it wasn't for us winning the turnover battle we probably lose this game.
So to sum it up, it was a good win considering how poorly we played. Especially in their run at the end of the game where we gave them layup after layup and tossed up ineffective three's on our end.

Looking at Mississippi State’s schedule I see that LSU catches them at the perfect time.
They play at Ole Miss the game before and Kentucky at home the game after.
A big rivalry game the game before and big bad Kentucky the game after. Perfect time for an emotional let down.

Let’s be 18-3 (8-0) heading to Mississippi State.

Love that this team can win comfortably without playing their best.
Keep Stacking them wins baby!

It sure as hell beats the alternative of losing 14 in a row or however many it was a couple years ago.

opefully it will be a blessing in disguise. Offensively, this game showed we need to improve vs zone defense. Defensively, in the second half, this game showed we need to defend those cuts better. Win by 10 and there's plenty of film to watch and learn from. That's a coach's wet dream.
As a coach I can tell you that you are 100% right. Get the W but still get guys attention and they see we need to get a lot better. Wade just wants this team to be at peak efficiency by tourney time. Keep getting better every game. Tonight was a step back but still a 10 point SEC win. That’s the sign of a really good team.

This. Two years ago JJ had us in the basement. Now our coach is pissed after a 10 point win over a conference opponent. Life is good.

Being pissed about a 10-point win is a wonderful feeling.
