Fair enough...was just saying that today's 247 rankings inexplicably dropped all those guys. 247 is supposed to be the best, too.

Ika and Parrish should've gotten bumped up a lot. Ika should be bordering on 5 stars. Parrish should be a mid-4-star, at least.

Davis is currently the composite #8 RB in the country...that's just stupid. He looked better than Sanders in the AAB that I watched.

Exactly. And the other piece is how well our own coaching staff develops the players on this roster. If the 4 or 5 star kid you recruit today is the same player in his sophomore, junior and senior year as he was when you recruited him then the coaching staff, any coaching staff, has not done their job. Eventually a kid has to become more than just big and fast. He has to become a better football player and improve his football IQ.

It's always entertaining when a guy has never played the position he's projected to play in college, but continues to move up the ranking.

Rivals once moved Barrett Jones to the Center position in their rankings, which made him the top center prospect that year.

In their ranking formula, it actually boosted his score because of that, which elevated Alabama’s class even more.

What position did Jones play at Alabama? Guard and Tackle.

If you can't see the blatantly obvious bias in these rankings, then you're just blind

You would have more credibility if we weren't getting manhandled every year by the team you think the bias favors.

He started all 14 games his senior season at center, and won the Rimington trophy for being the top center in the country.

Most people acknowledge that the rankings are very likely biased...don't think anyone really cares about perceived credibility with these arguments anymore.

This is most likely because we've already seen a couple of the writers for at least one of the recruiting sites tell us in years past that they give rankings bumps to prospects that commit to bama. I believe them.

And the rankings would have more credibility if the team ranked 1 one every year would win the NC and not get run off the field by a lesser rated school.

Coaching is important too, but I've seen LSU guys making AA and being high draft picks at just about every position over the past decade.
I've seen them succeed at the next level.

I expect this will continue.

Clemson dropped a ton...they were #5 in the composite team score just a couple of days ago...they're now #9.

But we're all crazy!

Wasn't Ika just honored as one of the best players in the poly-bowl game and had one of the best weeks of practice as well?

He was...and he showed very well at the army bowl the week prior, too. I seent it.

Yet his ranking drops today.

Man, wish I had more credibility.

It's all BS. It's a matter of popularity and having to drop players of teams like LSU so their favorites can go to the top. 247 has got the Bama, Texas, etc love. For someone like Kardell, who has been in the top 20 and mostly in the top 10 all year and to drop more than 200 positions must have been a math problem solved by how many positions he needed to fall to allow other teams to prosper. Big fail.

What in the hell did he do to make him drop that much?

Thought they just bumped him up.
