Alright LSU/Saints fans. Here’s a test of your loyalty. What do you think of his comments? Personally, I believe he’s just already tired of hearing the Rams don’t belong. If it happened to his team, he would not think this way.

BTW. I disagree with him.....but he’s still one of my all time favorite Tigers. Hope he gets a ring.

As a Pats fan, this is what I was worried about...the Rams are now going to hear that they don't belong in the SB (they don't) for the next 2 weeks, and then they're going to show up in Atlanta all pissed off and looking to prove something.

Stupid refs and NFL...would've much rather just had a legit Pats/Saints SB without all the drama and added motives.

Just because he went to LSU doesn't mean I have to be okay with his team being the beneficiary of a shite call against the team I root for.

Especially when his owner is one of the biggest pieces of shite around and schemed with the league office to break their own rules in order to leave the city I live in.

frick everything about the Rams and Stan Kroenke. Right now that includes Whitworth.

He's wrong. It's not an excuse.

The game was stolen....the Rams are an illegitimate champion...
The NFL and this year's superbowl are illegitimate.

Whitworth definitely wouldn’t feel that way if the Rams would have been in that same situation. He’s just tired of hearing people complain about it. What else would you expect him to say?

He's not completely wrong, and I understand that it must be frustrating to be in his position.

To his point about penalties that didn't go the Rams' way, I think that is just fallacy. There are a number of plays that could go either team's way in any given game that you could point to as having an impact. Fans are usually accepting of this.

However, this was a penalty, all else being equal (including missed calls for/against the Saints/Rams), that would have and should have unequivocally ended the game.

So in that sense, he's wrong where it matters.

I hope they get their arse kicked and if they end up winning they will be remembered as a team that didn't deserve it. Truth hurts. The game was stolen, not all penalties are equal.

My loyalty lies with current LSU/Saints players. I wish Whitworth all the best since he is, afterall, a former Tiger but he doesn't play for LSU or the Saints right now so therefore I rooted against him on Sunday.
I disagree with him on the no-call. It was wrong and likely would have led to a Saints win but we can't change the past.

I'm a Saint and a Tiger..........a Tiger and a Saint.

IDGAF what he said, the shoe is on the other foot. And tbh, I really dont care about him getting a ring. I care more about my team and the enjoyment that was robbed from me, the city, the state, and the CURRENT team more than someone who played for LSU in the past.

I'm sure I'd get upvotes on Saints talk and downvotes over here. Frankly, I dont care and his comments piss me off

It might be an excuse only if it was unintentionally not called.

I don't really have a problem with what he said. He's choosing to emphasize things that, while true, don't address the issue of the call being blatantly wrong AND preventing the Saints from winning the game right then and there. That's probably healthy way of looking at it for someone who is (thanks to the blown call) still playing for a Super Bowl. It's not the Rams' job to apologize for the disastrous officiating.

Like it or not. The rams conspired with the refs to steal the NFC championship.

I agree with him. Sucks but that is the way the cookie crumbles.
