Michael Gandolfini, son of James Gandolfini, cast as Tony in Sopranos prequel

Well, neat. I didn't even know he was an actor, but apparently he's on a show called The Deuce.

This will work or it will flame out. No halfway.
People making the show have to know that and hopefully wouldn’t green light the casting just for the novelty.
I’m optimistic.
As to a comment below, if they make him AJ junior, other than the panic attack/fainting, that won’t work. Tony was never AJ turned Tony.

The second version of young Anthony kind of had an AJ vibe, so that would be appropriate.
