He had good reason too? Explain. Orgeron knows jack shite about running an offense. He isn’t qualified to run an offense. Are you telling me that the owner of a pharmaceutical company should go in and meddle with the chemicals even though he has no background in chemistry just because he’s the boss?
People don't get this.
Sure the boss has the authority to do whatever he wants but having the authority doesn't confer the expertise to do so.

The LSU head coach inserted himself into the offense, defying a pledge he made last fall in a campaign to land the full-time job. He invoked changes to offensive coordinator Matt Canada’s unit, tweaks that were visible during the first half of Saturday’s loss against Troy.
He’s stepping back now, the coach suggested in his weekly news conference with reporters.
quote:
“I wanted to simplify only the shifts in motions. I knew we were going to start two freshmen (offensive) linemen, so I wanted the guys to be in place so we knew how to block them,” Orgeron said. “That's all I've ever done. This is Matt's offense. He runs it. He calls it. He scripts the plays. This is his offense.”
quote:
“That's totally up to Matt,” Orgeron answered when asked which offense LSU will move forward with. “I'm going to leave that totally up to him. And, again, I will say this, I stepped in last time for the first time. And I wanted to simplify things in order for us to have less penalties, better execution.
“At halftime, he felt like he needed to shift and motion more, which he did. And that's totally his option,” Orgeron continued. “This is totally his offense.
This should put it all to rest. O was perfectly justified in asking for a simplification of the offense.
Had they all just worked together instead of having a falling out we wouldn't be having this conversation now.

He was wrong then. It was painfully obvious
Who are you to say he was wrong?

Basically at a certain point Canada mailed it in. Yet Canada is a hero on this board. Insane.
Nobody said he’s a “hero”. He’s just better than Ensminger and many of us would have liked to have seen what an unhandcuffed Canada could have done with LSU players.
Would we win a championship with him? I can’t say. But remember. From the Opologists own words. “A coach needs time to implement his system”.

What exactly happened since you know? What were the dynamics?
You seem to know so much

The head coach told us what happened. Read what he said after the Troy game.

He may be. But we do know Ensminger shite the bed many times on offense this season.

Tell me how this meeting went? Tia
Knowing 5% of s situation yet totally believing some fable you've created is pretty ridiculous

Insecure bosses are the dictatorial types that aren't open to doing things a different way. They aren't comfortable with not being the absolute authority in every aspect of the operation.
Yep. And I would never work for a boss like that. My time and education was is far too valuable for me to have to deal with someone like that.

Read what the head coach said after the Troy game. He admitted to altering Canada's offense. What more do I have to say?

I agree that both Canada and Orgeron are to blame. They are adults and should have been able to make it work.

Orgerons mistake was hiring Canada

I have not. And yeah, most probably are. But even Saban lets his offensive coordinator do his thing. There are no documented cases of him meddling in the offense and he’s one of the biggest assholes in college sports.

This can be true. But when the employee knows more about a specific part of the business than the boss does, the boss really shouldn’t question him.
