Yeah right.
I wish they'd make them play under the same circumstances and let it play out with the right call but it would never happen.

Much more likely is the NFL, as Florio reported on Sunday night, issuing a public apology to the Saints and hitting the refs who caused the issue with a suspension or some form of punishment for missing the call.
Then the NFL will move forward and try to find a fix for the issue, in so much that a league depending on the eyesight of 60-year-olds instead of technology and its billions of dollars in revenue to determine the outcome of games can find a fix.
you're welcome NFL, we died for your sins

As much as I want this to happen, I realize that the NFL and Goodell want an L.A. team in the Super Bowl even more
I also think that rule applies to non judgement calls.

No one wants to go to the superbowl because someone interjects after the fact. It cheapens it that much more. It should have been fixed on the field. Just cut the 2 refs loose, implement replay for penalties and booth review for penalties.
specially for games of this importance.

I would in a heartbeat.

Without a doubt but it wasn't.

Still does not make up for the ultimate football screw job in modern NFL history.

Penalty should be enforced. Saints first and 10 from the 3 with 1:45 left in regulation. Start the game from there.

And this should happen within the next few days. I don't care how many people show up to the dome to witness it. Could be empty for all I care. Yesterday I was more numb than anything, today I'm pissed.

It should happen on Thursday.
That way teams can heal and still have a long rest for the super bowl.
All the talk is moot though. The NFL won't even publicly admit its mistake.

I would settle for a public apology from Goodell along with the firing of the entire crew for that game and the resignation of Goodell.

Here is the thing, the guys from this crew won't get fired or demoted even....it will just be put down as another grade of which the aggregate is the only thing that matters for continued employment.....I mean Johnny Greer kept a job as referee for years AND HE SUCKED REALLY BAD.
Miss Ed Hochuli, though, imagine him on the field trying to explain away this no call

Goodell is not overturning the game decision.
Posted on 1/21/19 at 10:49 am to beardedzeus
if this had happened against the Pats they'd be playing the game again as we speak

Targeting or helmet to helmet is not a judgment call.
The play should have been reviewed based solely on the helmet to helmet.

Hochuli wouldn't have let that slide. Would have been corrected on the field.
