The Patriots were only called for pass interference five times all year and they play one of the most aggressive coverage schemes in the league. I would be willing to bet that at least half the teams in the NFL had five pass interference penalties called on them in one game. Having the referees call the game differently for you than they do for the other 31 teams in the league helps.

He is more innovative with his training and rehabilitation than anyone else other than Lebron is a start.

He has the best coach of all time which helps

He plays with a chip on his shoulder something Peyton never had

If you make a list of all the best qbs Brady and Montana have had the most success due to good owners, head coaches , good front offices and injury luck

What separates Brady from Montana is sports medicine now vs 30 years ago.

Brady, if anything is this... I've never seen a QB this good. Also, his willingness to give up money is impressive. But at some point you have enough money to live comfortably. Which I am sure he made several years ago. Also his wife is major paid so theres that.

Liberals would say his whiteness and privilege is the reason he is able to put money aside.

Uhhhh, when you play against Brady in big games, he causes you to try every advantage.
Brady was rushed on that throw, partially because of rushers being offsides

Injury. Brady was playing so well ....

Schottenheimer faced same situation once in playoffs. Had best record. Benched hot qb and started the starter. Of course they lost.

Tonight was Tom Brady's 14th career playoff game with a passer rating under 80.

The Patriots are 9-5 (.643) in those games.

All other teams are 40-166 (.256) with such a playoff performance from their QB during that time span.

That's what separates Brady from those other QBs. He is tGOAT. Brady had a below average game by his standards, but he stepped up when the game was on the line. He engineered two potentially game winning drives in the 4th quarter before engineering the game winning drive in OT, completing three straight 3rd & 10 passes for first downs while doing so.

He's clutch. That's what makes him different.

This year you have to give at least half of the credit to his offensive line. In the two playoff games Brady was pressured a total of three times--not sacked three times, pressured three times and given the way the NFL defines things in relation to Brady that means defensive lineman breathed on him three times in those two games. You give any above average quarterback that kind of protection they are going to torch a defense. Also heard today that the Patriots designed eight new plays during their 11:00 am brunch yesterday. They did not practice any of them. They called five of them in the game and all five worked including the pass where Gronkowski burned Eric Berry.

Against the Chiefs defense this year we Chiefs fans don't define that as clutch. We define that as normal.

It for sure helped the Patriots that their first ballot HoF qb wasn’t the bread winner in his marriage. Makes me a little sick even typing that

Ehhh, not really. He was fired because he wouldn't work with the front office. It was a terrible relationship.

But he was very successful relative to the Browns. He took over a 3-13 team and brought them to 11-5 in his third year, which is still the best Brown's season in over 30 years and is responsible for their last playoff win that same year (only one since 1989).

Agreed. They play in a shite division which has mostly been a complete joke during their entire run. They don’t get beat up like other teams.

Also. It’s more Bellicheats syste, Brady is the ultimate system QB. He’s been in virtually the same one his entire career. Granted it’s an elite one, but still a system. Not sure he adapts to anything else.

This is nonsense. Their offensive system varies so much from week to week and he's great at running almost any style of offense.

They ran a lot of their plays out of an offset I formation the last couple weeks, something that isn't very common in the modern NFL.

He can pick teams apart running 5 wide when they have the personnel to do it as well.

He can run just about any system at a high level.
