quote:Lester Earl and I both thought that Waters needed some time on the bench, which he clearly did. I didn't think Coach Wade grounded him enough, but I was very impressed when he sat him early in the 1st half last game. That will go a long way.
Do you still think Waters sucks?
I compare LSU to the old Allen Iverson 76ers team before they had to trade to Dikembe Motumbo. Iverson would freelance on defense a lot like Waters. But they would sit Iverson for about 5 minutes between the 3rd and 4th quarters. Then they had 6'4" and 6'5" guards with tough forwards (6'7" and 6'8") with a 6'11" shot blocker or backup at center. In that time they would destroy the other team by locking down on defense. I saw a bit of that in the 2nd half with LSU the other night.
Compare that to:
Mays 6'4"
Smart 6'4"
Williams 6'7"
Naz Reid 6'11"
KBW 7'0"
Deadly on defense

Hopefully it’s the Arn/Ole/Tully/Flair version. Is Wade JJ Dillon? We don’t need any Paul Roma’s or Dean Malenko’s watering it down.

You are correct. Sampson has played 1 nba game. Gray has played 5.
Looks like 5 is the number to beat and 4 other teams had 4.

Really?? Most future NBA players on one team? Are you 20?
Actually that would help explain why most of your posts are so terrible.

His post was pretty clear. Not sure what the issue is.

People are going to realize at some point this season we have a very good basketball team
And this team has not even come close to reaching it's full potential. They have improved drastically since November and are getting better each game. By the time March gets here, this LSU team could possibly be the best team in the nation. Most of these players just needed experience at the collegiate level and the team needed experience playing together. Once they learn to put teams away after they get a big lead and stop turning the ball over, good grief just the thought is scary, they will be damn hard to beat!!!

I know the 85 team had some like John Williams, Ricky Blanton, Nikita Wilson, Jerry Reynolds. Don Redden was drafted in the 3rd round and Jose Vargas in the second, I don’t think Redden ever played because of his illness not sure if Vargas played either but do we count them because they were drafted? I think Redden would’ve caught on at least for a bit if he hadn’t had gotten sick. His last contract signed was 87 with the spurs but he died in 88 so it seems he would’ve likely ended up playing at least a little while.

Brush up on your English dumbarse before you start knocking. “None of them” refers to each player individually. I didn’t say he could take on all 4. Just made a comment that he is unreal, especially at his size.

Kind of like Greedy, huh? How’d you feel about that?

Whether you like it or don’t like it, learn to love it, ‘cause it’s the best thing going. Whooooo!

Sampson has not played in an nba game. He’s on a 2 way deal & is still in the G-league
Posted on 1/18/19 at 7:36 am to Madking
Sampson hasn’t checked into a game yet but he’s been called up
Posted on 1/18/19 at 8:20 am to Elleshoe
Yes, I looked at his stats and it listed him as playing one game (it's now 5) but that was just being on the roster. He hasn't gotten in yet, but he has been on the roster for 5 games and dressed out. However, if you are on the roster for a regular season game, I believe you are officially an NBA player.
So the point stands. That team had 5 NBA players. The most ever for an LSU team.

By my count, the number to beat is 4. The 13-14 had JOBIII, Martin, Mickey, Quarterman
Probably have 5 on this team:
Reid
Smart
Days
Williams
Waters
(and MAYBE KBW if he keeps playing like he has been, but I'm skeptical)
