You are welcome. I’m not a big car person but really enjoy going to this every year with my husband. It’s become a tradition to us now to go on the last Saturday.Seeing his face light up like a child at certain cars is fun for me to see. It really is a fun event...and I’m not a big car person. I can only imagine how much more enjoyable this event is to car fanatics.
We do go to every tent to see all the cars. I’m screen shotting requests in this thread and will put together a list of ones to look for that I will have on my phone as we walk through the tents. There are just so many cars there. You can’t take pics of them all. I even bring a large phone power stick that I pack in my purse so I can recharge my phone throughout the day so I have enough battery to take enough pics.

Sounds like a great time. My dad and I are both car fanatics. I should take him to Scottsdale next year.

You can’t even imagine how big it is until you attend, it’s easily over 100 football fields

That Senna is going to be INSANE.

Great thread and thanks for pics. What are some of the lowest priced cars?

I mentioned the Mecum show to a buddy of mine a couple weeks back, I haven't heard back. I would like to check that one out even if he can't make it.
I watched this one from Kissimmee last weekend.
On Friday they sold a 1967 Shelby GT Super Snake for $2,200,000

The three M-B droptops would work for me.
Vintage MB convertibles seem to be a decent value proposition...or they were. Those 190SL’s could be had for a decent price 5 or 6 years ago, pretty sure clean ones are selling for over $100k now.

This is what I’ve heard. Mainly from people like Matt Farah. Barrett Jackson is great and they’ve done well marketing it, but the best cars in the world go through RM Sotheby’s and Gooding.

Speaking of soectacle; I hate how there are always 2734927263 people on stage.

Nursely, I’ll be in Scottsdale next month (12th-14th), meeting and golf, not in that order.
If you see a really handsome guy driving a rental car around Scottsdale during that time frame, he’s not me.
Put me down in your inventory list, svp, for any Concrete Mixers or Dump Trucks.
Thanks and have a great time!

Well, yeah. BJ is a more American based auction built around muscle cars. Matt just had Chris Jacobs from Overhaulin/Barrett Jackson on his podcast. It was a good listen and they discussed Barrett's position in the market.

BJ is a spectacle now and is a shell of what it once was back in the day.... I do watch every year however.
My father has been numerous times bought /sold several high dollar cars at Barrett - Jackson over the years. So many cars are badly purchased because egos get involved... that and an open bar for bidders.

Isn't Eleanor a Super Snake? That car could go for $1.5-2M easily.
Posted on 1/15/19 at 10:30 am to CoachDon
Think that’s a bit high. I saw where another original Eleanor sold in 2013 for $1m, but I don’t know that they’ll eclipse that. That’s a ton of money for a restomod mustang regardless of movie credentials.

Nah. It's basically just a custom
It won't fetch 1.5 to 2
