Good news. I think the offensive line can be vastly improved by next year. Still praying we get Ingram back. The o-line gonna have some major depth.

That’s good news. He and Cushenberry held the line together this year. There will be serious competition at the gaurd spots if Ed Ingram returns.

We must protect this house (AKA Joe Burrow) in 2019!

The SEC better be eating beans and cornbread all off season. Especially if we close out a couple more DL

Lewis has a lot of talent but he really struggled with his assignments outside of just beating the man in front of you. Hopefully that improves this off season because he just looked lost at times. If Ed comes back man will we be loaded at guard. Hines may be better than all of em. I wander if he can play T?

Probably would have been a late rounder. Strong run blocker at the point of attack, not as good when pass protecting or on the move IMO

This apparently didn't use to be a big factor in the decision. I'm glad that is seemingly changing this year!

Agreed. Lewis was the worst of what was a bad problem, seemingly random at times, of our guys just being flat out slow out of their stance. Compared to your avg OL, it was bad.

But there is a couple things working against him, in addition to above, that would make his draft potential probably zilch right now.

A) There's quite a number of really really good IL in this draft.

B) His film would be graded. It's probably not 'fair', but most team's grading system awards 0 points on a play if the OL had a procedural or blocking penalty. He had enough penalties it would really hurt his grade.

C) He's just inexperienced at this level of CFB where the speed of the DLs in the NFL would eat him alive. His clock needs to improve, including the speed of that first punch.

Lewis, Hines, K Thomas, and if we were to get Ingram back. That's very good depth at guard, but I wonder who would be the starters.

If Ingram comes backThomas won’t sniff the field. He isn’t ready.
Ingram will be a starter if he returns. He was probably the best od the returning linemen.
