BR’s The Advocate reported that it’s the fewest underclassmen to leave LSU since 2015, and that winning a national championship appears to be the driving force that’s behind talented LSU players staying another year. Updated, a list that nearly included Devin White, LSU’s first Dick Butkus Award winner. Yes, it’s that hard to leave LSU.

The Ohaters obviously disagree with this, somebody appears confused. My bet, it’s not the players, they appear to have exrtreme confidence in LSU’s coaches winning a title.

You're not paying attention. There is a difference between saying it and "setting it as goal" every year, and it ACTUALLY being attainable.

2019 has the potential to be very special, and they players can feel it.

Geez you don't say.

I said earlier that the biggest reason we lose players early is because no one is going to come back to win 9 games and a Citrus bowl.

I haven't been the biggest O fan, but I will give the man credit for keeping a lot of players. This is a huge shift in the mentality of the program.

Glad to see it, Coach O and staff obviously have had a positive affect on players confidence.

You've got to be kidding. Zero have a positive impact?

I was arguing with a poster last night that wants him fired right now. He's not alone.

We just beat last year's national Champs and ruined another perfect season and probable championship. We quite literally rained on their parade.

Joking aside, this team has the leadership and talent to make a deep go at the playoffs next year. Only major question marks are TE, replacing Cole Tracy, punt returner, and we need a bit more production from RB. But at this stage of the game we are in an amazing spot.

It’s good to know that the players, who actually know something about football, have complete faith that Coaches O, Ensminger, and Aranda can lead them to a championship.

This is getting too damn dramatic.

They are staying to better their stock.

No reason for White to stay.

We aren't beating Alabama. Let it the F go.

You haven’t seen anything dramatic yet, but if White stays you will. Some fans won’t accept that, it’s not about upgrading his stock, it’s his expectation of playing for a title.

don't be naive - it's low draft grades that are bringing players back.

So we're to believe it's just a coincidence that all the players who need to better their draft stock are staying and all those who don't are leaving? Yeah right. They're just saying the right things to the reporters and O's fans are jumping on it.

You don't need to go to these lengths to prop up O. The fact that we are keeping the guys who should stay is still an accomplishment that he can take credit for. There have been plenty of previous years where players left even though it was clearly a bad idea.

For sure.....LSU players ALWAYS stay when they get a low draft grade. Oh wait, that's not right.

boy did you say a mouthful. Imagine the players having faith in their coaches. I wonder if that happens at other schools?
