Flynn was a very good qb. You don’t stick around in the NFL as long as he did unless you are.

actually really interesting. never really thought about this but they’re pretty similar players now that I think about it. flynn definitely has the edge right now but Burrow could equal him in 2019 now that he’ll have a full offseason with the team

plus, wasn't he a double naught spy or something, too?

As of now Flynn is better but Burrow can be as good as Flynn was. Burrow has the potential but I don’t know if he can develop enough to become like Flynn

Burrow seems like a better passer based on the eye test of what I remember Flynn looking like throwing the ball when he was the QB for LSU.

However, Flynn’s multi year career in the NFL may prove my memory faulty.

If Jeaux Burreaux had the O-line that Flynn had, I think Jeaux would be in discussion as one of the best ever at LSU. My $.02

Name those great O linemen and their history. If my memory is correct, one was a Sr journeyman DL who hadn't played OL since HS. Another was a avg red shirt freshman. But I could be wrong, looking for answers.

The 2007 line was good, but it’s not like it was filled with NFL talent. Herman Johnson was the only starter on that team to have a real NFL career.

The mobility of Flynn and Burrow put them ahead of Mett in my opinion.

The upside of Burrow is far greater than Flynn. Flynn was a decent QB who was blessed with a superb line. Burrow is an outstanding QB with less than satisfactory line play at times

Flynn for sure. Burrow has pretty good accuracy but lacks a good time clock in the pocket. Our offensive line is pedestrian at best but half our sacks were avoidable.

See above, Flynn didn’t play with superb line talent. I think they are similar physically but they played differently.

Burrow seems to think through the game on the field while Flynn seemed to always be moving quickly. Flynn turned it over more while it seems like Burrow takes more sacks.

Also, factor in that the year Flynn started he was in the same system for 4 years.

JB didn't even play live against another team till September.

Flynn was in a better offense is all I got.

FWIW, Flynn 2007 RAT125.8, JB RAT133.21, "worst ever" JJ 2009 RAT137.2, and JJ 2011 RAT138.7.
