Regarding wall construction and border security

I'm all for the wall! But, what about the fact that these bastards are known tunnel rats? Can we get funding for the search and destroy of tunnels? Maybe planes that fly the area every few days and bomb tunnel sites? Seems to me a wall for security can be circumvented via tunneling easily and nobody is talking about it. What say you?

With a wall, tunnels can become the focus for border patrol. It should be fairly easy to find them and destroy them with the wall up.

The way to combat tunnels is eventually going to be technology. Which is what the Dems have been saying all along.

My impression is that they're going to use seismic sensors that detect when there are vibrations in the area to either indicate if the wall is being tampered with or there is tunneling in the area.

That makes zero sense

El Chapo says, "Hi!" He operated tunnels from Tijuana into the San Diego suburbs for years, undetected.

Yes it does. Tunnels will be easy to find and destroy. There would be no tunnels without a wall. They'd just stroll across the border like they do now.

And the way to combat a good passing offense is a good secondary. The dems, however, are refusing to address the defensive line. No pressure on the QB and are still letting people run all day on em.
Trump already said that the funding is for the wall AND technology. Good D line AND secondary.
The dems are betting on the offense though, so I can see why they don’t want the opponent to get those 5 star D-linemen.

You clearly have no clue what you're talking about

BP can't effectively patrol above ground much less below

Airborne Lidar technology can pick them up pretty easily now.

Lidar detects surface elevations, its not GPR

The tunnels have nothing to do with a wall.
All of the current tunnels are in cities (Tijuana, Nogales, Juarez).
They don't build tunnels in the middle of the desert. They build them from a house/warehouse in Mexico to a house/warehouse in the US.
It would be pretty fricking easy to catch a construction crew building a tunnel in the wide open desert.

The tunnels should be gassed with VX or some other similar gas. Thats stuff really makes your eyes water, causing them to bump their heads along the tunnel. That way we can just look for the ones with scuffed up heads.

Tunnels only work near towns that can provide cover for the operation. That limits the potential problems. The wall would free up manpower to investigate those areas.

Regarding tunnels, a lot of people are talking about it and this is one of the main excuses for the dems! You live under a rock?

Without having to monitor thousands of miles of border 24/7, more resources can be used to identify and destroy other methods of entry. It's a very, very, simple concept.
