He'd definitely get more upfront money in the NFL. In baseball, all contracts are fully guaranteed, however.
But, he'd have to make it though the minors and show something at the MLB level before he'd get a chance at beating out the type of money he'd get upfront from the NFL. It's a big risk. I'm sure he'd like to play both sports, but I'm not sure with the money that's being thrown around in both sports, these days, that any team wants to allow that anymore.
But, like I said before, the A's can tell him he can't play both sports, but they can't stop him from choosing football over them.
