City played Rotherham this round, who again unless I'm mistaken is a championship side and at the bottom of the table... So how exactly was I being dumb?

Because complaining about matchups that are the result of a random draw is beyond ridiculous. City have a ridiculous history over the last decade in being drawn with EPL sides early in the FA and League Cup.

You really gonna talk money when you spent half of that figure on one CB?

Cool, but that has zero bearing on this FA Cup

Yea, since we made that figure selling one player.

Going to argue he hasn't been worth every penny?

He is the best defender in the league.

Just find it odd to argue the cost of our back line when Liverpool broke our transfer record twice last window.

Inb4 muh net spend

Liverpool's high horse is hilarious. I could be wrong, but weren't they spending more than everybody else back in the day when they actually won stuff? Like the late 80s their net spend was higher than everybody IIRC.

We love our Scousers, don't we mates? I think each of us knows one stereotypical Scouser.

I mean damn dude, are you arguing there is no difference in just buying players with oil money and buying players with transfers profits? It would sure be nice to have Coutinho in addition to VVD, Fabs, and Keita..but that's not how our club operates.

Embrace your sugar daddy, I would, but I wouldn't get into a debate about transfer fees either

Sounds like you’re bitching about depth all over.

I mean City has by far the best depth in the league and you can’t possibly convince me you wouldn’t be concerned (or making excuses apparently) if Stones, Kompany, and Otamendi were all out injured at the same leaving Laporte with who.....Mangala??

um yea the outspent everyone in the 80s

and its not like they ever stopped spending a lot. So much that they were totally mismanaged and almost went into administration.
