I just find it amazing that you think br doesn’t have enough of the $30 thousand dollar millionaire Instagram crowd that will flood this place like the same people do in other smaller cities

It's doing very well in Pittsburgh and OKC.

South Louisiana has similar demographics and better weather than either of those locations. The location they chose off Siegen right against I-10 is a disaster for traffic, but probably excellent for TopGolf.

It’s a perfect location to draw the I-10 br suburbs which is what I think they were aiming for in the location along with those highland area neighborhoods/LSU

Hard to beat that spot. They need a visible location.

I bet the Pecue Lane area near I-10 will be very expensive real estate when that exit is finally open.

For Pittsburgh, I'd have aimed for the Robinson area on I-376. They ended up a few miles away on I-79. It's right up against the highway that's heavily used for commuter traffic - very similar to the location in Baton Rouge.

I'm pretty sure only building next to interstates or major highways is part of their business model

I'll root for it too and will def be stopping in, I just don't get the optimism

Apparently some original top golf investors didn't buy into BR at first either

Correct. They seem to get similar locations as Bass Pro, IKEA, Shopping Malls, and other destination retailers.

Comparing 6 years ago to today when talking about a company like top golf is pretty much totally irrelevant

Why don't you think it'll stay open?

I mean you're clearly one of the lesser intelligent people here

Many people say so repeatedly.

I feel pretty good being on the opposite side of your thoughts

If oweo says this will be a success then ill really know I'm right

They may end up with smaller concepts that can be sustained in places like Shreveport, Lake Charles, or the north shore by then.

The fad could also be over in 6 years too.

It's an upper middle class establishment and br has one of the poorest communities in the country. And college kids are not going do this much.

It's just simply demographics.

Comparing this to Pittsburgh is pretty comical really

What about Birmingham that has almost the same exact demographics as BR?

Have you ever actually been to Pittsburgh?

It's very much a blue collar area. Just like most of south Louisiana.

Pittsburgh has several big industries. I'm not sure if you're serious right now.

EVENTUALLY they'll have a service road connecting to an I-10 Interchange at Pecue.
It's supposed to finally get going this year. They had issues with financial responsibility of access roads with the Kleinpeter family.

The household income is like $2,000 less than the national average, and around $1,000 less than Pittsburgh
