Ensminger’s is good enough, we just need a solid O line.

The only thing I see is your panties in a bunch because you can't deflect or obfuscate the truth. That being that you are a madden jockey pretending to know how real football works.
You don't. Nor do the other pimple faced video kids that are shite stains on what used to be a half way decent message board.

Don’t deflects
Can you play OL?
You can’t you, madden punk.
You probably couldn’t block an phone number.
You’re arguement is dumb because our OC options aren’t between E and myself.
It’s between E and all the other profession OCs that he’s being compared to.
End of the day the difference between us a Miss. St is a FG kicker

The Fiesta Bowl announcers agree with your evaluation. I don't recall the exact number, but they felt LSU's line was nowhere near good and they still manage to move the ball.

Brian griese stated he thought LSU'S o-line might be top 15-20 then added maybe just top 30.

I can't believe that because we were able to move the ball against UCF(we still stalled in the red zone repeatedly) that people think all is well on that side of the ball.
Even against UCF, we had many chances to put the game away, and the offense came up short every time. Same thing against the Aggies, both in regulation and OT. By any measure, we have a below average offense. That should be unacceptable for a program like ours
This is the correct answer!

Been saying it,we NEED a new o-line coach.

The quick fix is to add more quick game passing, allowing the tackles to cut block
Or
Add more RPO plays where you can take advantage of aggressive backers and slow them down
This is why people like me are down on Ensminger. The answer to OL problems is not maxprotect, five-step drops and a slow developing pro-style passing game.
He just recently said in an interview that he doesn't think there's anything he could have done different. Look, by all accounts he's a swell guy but he doesn't have any answers and he won't. Nothing will change. Maybe, MAYBE if they bring in some consultants to help out but then I'd have to ask, why are we paying consultants to teach our offensive coordinator? Why not just hire an offensive coordinator that already knows this shite back-to-front?
Many college football programs have subpar OL play. That's why offensive lineman get paid the big bucks at the next level. The whole rest of the college football world, outside of a few teams, has figured out how to mask these deficiencies with scheming and play calling. Unfortunately, LSU happens to be one of those few teams that can't seem to figure it out.
It's cultural. It won't change until you get some fresh blood and fresh ideas in the offensive coaches room. Young, dynamic, creative outside-the-box type coaches. LSU has it on the defensive side with Dave Aranda. Now they just need the matching piece on the offensive side.
I think it's hard for a lot of LSU fans to watch LSU games objectively, so I have a suggestion. I watch a bowl game recently that I think perfectly mimicked and LSU offense versus a common opponent. The 2018 Peach Bowl that was just played on the 29th, Michigan versus Florida.
I haven't watch Michigan all year so I don't know if this has been the case all year but Michigan's offense was a mirror image of LSU's. Florida looked like your typical well-oiled Mullen machine. Two diametrically opposed offensive styles. Mullins offense scored 41 and Michigan's scored 15. Not that much unlike the 37-7 arse-whooping Mullins Mississippi State team put on LSU last year.

quote:Don't you think Bama was more fired up to play LSU than Citadel? Even Saban teams have a let down.
The Citadel scored 17 points on Alabama's defense and I'd venture to say our offensive line is at least as good as, if not better than, their's.
So, if The Citadel can score 17 in 4 quarters, why couldn't we score 1 in 8 quarters?

Really need better players
LSU needs needs bigger, faster, and stronger at the tackle position. I think Dare gives you that on one side. I think Charles, after another year in the system has the potential to do that too.

Alabama players have had several times that they know our plays. Before we run them.
That was under Miles.
If you went to or watched the last three Bama games. You would have seen that our offensive line was beaten very badly. We could not pass protect at all. Much of that time we have been unable to create any movement or space to,run the ball either.
No OC can get anything done under those circumstances.
Our offensive line could not create movement against UCF a defense giving up 250: yards rushing per game. For much of the first half the protection was spotty as well
You can see that Bama knew they could pressure the QB. So as such they moved the pass defense up and took away the short routes. UCF did the same thing. Finally we started to,get Burrow some time against UCF.. when we did the pass routes developed. The routes designed to,be the defense that UCF was playing. Shazam. 394 yards passing.
After thenUCFngame. SEC now panel, was impressed with the innovation and play calling of the LSU offense.
Anyway. It would be insanity to,disrupt this team and this QB/WR combination with a new OC going into 2019

This and Steve probably will retire after next season anyway. That's why I was hoping for a Co offensive coordinator for this season.

I don’t see E stepping down, short of like a championship.
Also next year would be a worse year to switch OCs breaking in a new QB.
I think We’ll be better next year because of an upgrade in personnel and most of our players returning. I also Agree that our offense looked better in the bowl game from a play design standpoint.
My concern is as soon as our OL gets pushed around well title up, and that E’s plan in the redzone is to just be better at ISO in the goaline formation.

This was why I was hoping for a Co offensive coordinator situation. That way the transition would be seamless. I think he retires next year.

For the people that are upset about scheme. I would say that we never saw what they really wanted to do.

I am very reluctant to count on him next year considering his lack of play this year and whatever trouble he got into that did not allow him to travel to the Bowl game this season.
There is a lot of time between now and August, but those issues will have to be worked out between him and the team.

Maybe that’s why there are rumors of Tee Martin coming?
I sort of agree that you don’t want another offense being installed with a sr Quarterback
