Every game is a contract game for young players. Statement is dumb.

I'm sure he cited many specific examples to back that statement up.

Bell's not sitting out from fear of injury.

I sure hope they don’t drive. You could get hurt in a traffic accident.

What Alabama players are sitting out?

I wouldn't intentionally have kids before I graduated college after being educated on the topic 10000000000 times.

Agree 100%!! I have often thought the same thing. If you are going to quit now when things are as easy as they will ever be what are you going to do when things get tough?

My opinion, it probably will fester more and more in college. And then now the NFL is going to have to make a decision," Shannon said. "If you draft a young man that leaves early and now you're not a playoff team, that young man [is] going to say, 'I'm not going to play.' Same situation. Right, wrong or indifferent."

That's just stupid.

Comparison fails.

This is the dumbest shite I have ever heard a grown man say. A player has a stellar career and decides to safeguard his future by not playing in 1 damn game and all of a sudden everything he has done up to the point counts for jack shite. If college players were being paid, different story. If the player faked an injury to miss the last game, no one knows and no one says a damn thing. But players start exercising the little power they have to safeguard their future and all of a sudden they have a character issue. Yeah, if you had a winning lottery ticket and got the opportunity to walk through the desire projects at 1am just to say you did it. You might make it through....you might not. Why take the chance. This is the most idiotic shite I've ever heard. A bunch of snowflakes butthurt because a player decides that he's going to put his future ahead of a bowl game....a game he's not being paid to play in nor required to play in. If their teammates don't have a problem with it, then f**k everybody else complaining about it.

Why take a risk of getting hurt? You play and anything can happen. You dont and you’re guaranteed 20 million.

The same can be said playing in the nfl when you’re not a playoff team. Why risk your next season or next contract. Low character. He quit.

It's asinine.

These same fools don't put a bit of stock into UCF's win over Auburn, but they lose their fricking mind about Greedy missing the same caliber bowl game.

Former head coach Randy Shannon? Has a head coach of a P5 school ever dropped so low as he has.

Yes! Tommy Tubberville!

Nah, but if I got a chance to be on the big stage after no major other offers and the price was one more game, one more game to help advance the program that developed me into what I was comparing HS rankings to what I was currently ranked, I'd pay up.
